First of all, I'm not bashing Tinder by any means. I am a perpetual traveller, so I make good use of Tinder wherever I go. I've met some amazing women from Tinder in the past, but now I use it less and less due to a few realizations about the app and online dating.

Besides the obvious amounts of competition and flakiness of women on the app, I have to say that the quality of women I date from cold approach has always been consistently higher than through Tinder. Hot girls on Tinder can date literally whoever they want, and if you aren't up to their idealized standard, they know they're only one swipe away from someone who is. Online game is a woman's market, and a way for less attractive girls to quickly hook up with men who are far more attractive than they are.

I don't know if it's because my pictures suck or something, but the quality of girls I match with are always in the same 6-7 range, although I'm kind of an average looking guy to begin with.

But when I approach in daygame, I can be on an instant date with a very attractive girl within an hour of stepping out the door. I'm not super good looking or anything, but I do have a gift for making women feel comfortable in my presence, which is what really matters.

Compared to Tinder, you've got to talk to them for at least a week before a date becomes a possibility. She's invariably talking to tons of other guys at the same time, and if someone else looks more her type, then he's going to have priority over meeting you. Some girls will simply disappear because they obviously found something better. Good for them though. I'm not bitter about it. It's just how these girls are on these stupid apps.

Then you need to wait and see if she'll look like her photos.. if you actually have chemistry together, if she's crazy or too conservative. If she's a liar, a hooker or anything else. It's too much bullshit, especially when you're a busy man.

Most of these things can be screened with a 10 minute sit down and a coffee, but you don't know if you're wasting your time on Tinder talking to these flaky girls who probably have unrealistic expectations anyway.

In my opinion, online dating is too stacked in a woman's favor and convenience to be used as a sole method of game. You can't win through text, you can only screw up a good opportunity, which takes away the power and initiative that men have when it comes to dating.

I still keep Tinder on for a laugh, but I don't take it seriously anymore. I've been on so many dates that unless a girl is showing heavy interest in me through messages then usually I won't bother messaging her first.

If you are good with cold approach then you shouldn't invest a lot of time on these apps, unless you can compete and put a decent amount of time in your social media and most importantly your photos. I don't like doing that so this is just what works for me.
