Ensuring paternity of children is extremely important to a man, the only way it could really be done pre-genetic testing was guaranteeing that your wife was a virgin.

Can't believe this never dawned on me until right now.

I think Rollo calls this the “war brides dynamic.” Alice Thomas Ellis famously said, “There is no reciprocity. Men love women. Women love children. Children love hamsters. Hamsters don’t love anyone.”

That is quite possibly my favorite quote

[–]karneadou1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

second that..great quote.

[–]jacks1000[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, she sums it up quite nicely I think.

[–]jacks1000[S] 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's more directed towards women who have a hard time empathizing with average men.

I was having such a good time with this article until he got to the whole "white men" part. Then I remembered I was on hipster racist and left.

[–]justgowiththeflow5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What was wrong with that part?

[–]TheHumanite1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm neither white nor a racist if any description.

[–]jacks1000[S] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The blog is basically for white people. If you're not white, there are plenty of blogs catering to you; this particular blog is not one of them.

[–]TheHumanite0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I realized that. That's why I left.

While I am not completely there with everything, I like the general message.

[–]1PaulRivers100 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not a fan of this article. I write plenty of things dissing feminism, but I thought this was a rather poor article that belongs more in the MRA forum than in The Red Pill.

There's a difference between pointing out how absurd something is (most feminist articles), and trying to create a one-sided idealogy of your own.

[–]ScannerSloppy0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good article, but they lost me with the whole "if your wife works for another man" thing. If your wife has a female boss (like mine does), none of this really applies.

[–]jkonine-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't hate feminism because I firmly believe everyone has a right to stand up for themselves and their beliefs.

What I do hate is the fact that it has become politically incorrect for men to stand up for themselves in response, and just take whatever bullshit the modern women feels entitled to throw at them.

That isn't right. Interpersonal interaction has to be a two way street. It's why the Chinese almost worship the concept of dialectic relationships.

Wow this was an amazing article. I do want to make one comment. That part about women having jobs and competing with men making a practical gay marriage out of a hetero one... I never thought of it being that way. Interesting.

But I can tell you that as a female, when we women don't have a job, men treat us like we are lazy and talk shit about us. When we do have jobs, we are ball-bashing feminists. I, as a female just can't win here. Or I'm surrounded by men that can't get their heads out of their ass on this issue? I don't know what to make of this but it just pisses me off to no end. I would much rather be bare-foot in the kitchen and pregnant than working and having to be the man in my life right now. But dependent wives are looked down upon. Explain this to me, please? Because it is the MEN that I am around that are expecting both from me. What gives and where are then men that want a bare-foot in the kitchen & pregnant kind of woman? I would like to meet one of these men. I am surrounded by hypocrites. I never wanted to be a career woman, but there is no one out there that wants to support me & future children... what gives? (no, I don't look like a dog, there is a picture of me with somewhere in my comment history posted to an INTJ sub, if you need proof).

I don't think you're right. I think the majority of men, probably the vast majority, has no problem with a woman who doesn't work.

However, they probably do have a problem with a woman who is lazy.

I've never heard of a man having a problem with a woman who didn't make bank, but did house chores, cooking, creative pursuits, gardening, etc.

Dependent wives are only looked down upon by feminists, from what I've seen. Also depends on how old you are, if you're in your early 20s, the guys your age aren't ready to have someone dependent on them, financially.

Im 27, and finding someone who is looking for a housewife (currently working, because someone has to pay the bills) is proving to be a complete nightmare. The men say thats what they want, but then they expect us to work (because being a housewife isn't a form of work?). Maybe it is the area I'm in, because I receive no pressure from females to work (just pressure to find a male to marry) and nothing but disinterest from males becuase I work (they assume feminist), but don't make a lot and am looking to settle down (because they fear/look down on committment?). Surely by 27 there are some males that are looking to settle down? How does the working non-feminist present herself in a manner that will attract red-pillar type males ready to settle down? Obviously I am doing something wrong, because this type of male seems as much a unicorn where I am at than the male being able to find the redpillar description of a female unicorn.

A quick look through your comment history reveals that you are a single mom. I'm guessing that's a big part of your problem. I don't mean for this to sound insulting, but why would a red pill man want a 27 year old with another mans child when he could have one that doesn't, or one that's even younger and also not a single mom. You would probably do better to find a beta dude and then teach him to be alpha through married man sex life and other LTR red pill books.

[–]jacks1000[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

a single mom.

Ah, too bad. She already has a man, she's just not with him anymore. No one wants to raise another man's child.

[–]Flaydogg0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow it never occurred to me that was the reason I can't find anyone. Thanks for the eye-opener, though it is a crappy one. :/ Honestly I do appreciate it.

[–]Flaydogg0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wondered if that was the problem. Thanks

[–]through_a_ways1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Hm, so you're aging, but you're not quite there yet.

All I can say is, if you're not fat/ugly/single mom, I don't know what's up.

[–]alt303130 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

a single mom
