I recall watching that movie, then pointing out to my friends who had just watched it with me that Jenny was a self absorbed skank who made terrible choices.

I've seen numerous 'analyses' where people have tried to excuse Jenny's behavior with "she was abused" or "she was just trying to protect Forrest" and the best (read worst) one was "she was just trying to protect Forrest from herself".

The clear reality was that Jenny didn't want to be stuck with an autistic when there were tingles to be chased and bad boys to fuck.
