The thing with damaged chicks is that, while they're awesome rides, they're - surprisingly - damaged. Most will even consider it a personality trait - and how dare you to suggest otherwise. So enjoy the ride (bring your own condoms), don't get too attached, and have an escape plan.

And if you have a saviour complex, steer away from them. You cannot save them. You cannot save other people - they need to want to save themselves. These chicks will only drag you down - in my language there's an idiom that roughly translates to a hug from a drowning person, and that's pretty much the case. Be smart.

Whenever a woman claims she was abused, I always think to myself, "define abuse." Her experiences may not actually constitute abuse.

For example, did her ex withhold his money from her? "Financial abuse!" Did he chastise her for terrible behavior? "Emotional abuse!" Did he send her a stern email? "Digital abuse!"

It's sad to say but I no longer take women's abuse-related claims at face value these days, especially without strong evidence.

How about buying her the wrong brand of breakfast food? That's "cereal abuse."

I require incontrovertible evidence as a baseline after multiple instances of coworkers and acquaintances (across decades of time, multiple industries, multiple social spheres, and multiple hobbies) having their lives ruined (or hazarded to the point of ruination) by unsubstantiated accusations.

Broken women will go out of their way to hurt decent men who don’t deserve it. Had it happen to me many times and seen it happen to many men. Broken women are the worst and shouldn’t be dating anyone.

The following was written by the Land of the Losers

There are a lot of dodgy and dishonest men out there. Living in a society, you will inevitably run into a lot of liars, grifters, boozers, pill-heads, con-artists and, worst of all, a small number of violent people. Nobody denies this. And everybody spends a lot of time blaming them, pushing-back at them and even jailing them. Yeah, you can try to change them or whatever, but you can't change and fix everybody.

Furthermore, yes, a certain number of women out there like "Bad Boys." They are free to like who they like as long as they don't go crying for sympathy about the obvious consequences (which they go do anyway). And they have parents and relatives who say things like "stay away from that troublemaker" but they chafe at the parental guidance and rebel against it and then later act as if nobody had warned them in the first place.

What people seem to love denying is that a certain number of women out there also have-- to put it kindly-- broken danger detectors where they can't seem to realize when somebody is bad news. Another group of women (though there is some overlap to these groups) will willfully ignore a man's obvious red flags and assume: "he won't hurt me because I can control him with my magic vagina." Well, sorry, but that isn't a very smart strategy to hang your safety and well-being upon.

I knew one woman who had the disastrous luck to possess all three traits: an attaction to "bad boys" (her words), a broken danger detector and a belief that her magic vagina would help her control "her man". She had 2 contradictory ideas in her head which were: "I like bad boys cuz they follow their own rules, tee hee" and "my magic vagina will protect me because he'll follow that rule, tee hee." And-- predictably-- it never worked out for her. Because, first "he doesn't follow your rules, Miss!" and "what about all the other magic vaginas out there on planet earth? Is he immune to those?" And she lived her early 20s like that, despite everybody around her warning her about what she was doing (including myself), but she had her stupid fantasy which she preferred more than the actual reality she was living in: she had voluntarily become a brainless fucktoy for a series of bad boys. And she continued doing this, no matter how many lousy experiences and black eyes she got.

At any rate, today she's a fat, broke single mom and I absolutely 100% blame her for her poor choices.

Dominated- The Story of Joyce

Joyce was a beautiful girl. To give you an idea how beautiful, I remember seeing the model Kathy Ireland on a Sports Illustrated cover. I commented to a co-worker that Joyce looks just like her, only Joyce's breasts were bigger. To give you an idea how stunning good looks ran in her family, one sister was first runner up for Miss Texas, another became a trophy wife to a millionaire. Joyce was the least attractive of the three girls in the family, and she was one of the most beautiful girls I had ever seen. She was 5’4”, 24 years old, perfect teeth, big breasts and had a mane of golden blonde hair and blue eyes.

One day we are in the break room, at work, and the topic of dating came up. She said that she could never find a man who could make a decision. I thought that was an odd statement, so I let her continue to talk. And what came out of the conversation is that any man who was considerate enough to ask Joyce what things she liked to do, she considered weak and indecisive because Joyce didn’t know herself.

So who did she marry? Exactly what she was looking for, a 6’2” police officer. Someone who dominated her physically, who dominated her emotionally and had a dominating job. In every aspect of the relationship, she was in the subordinate position. He made all the decisions. And she was happy as can be for about a year, until he wanted a new truck. His old truck was not worth as much as her car, so he traded in her car for a new truck. What did she get to drive? His old truck. Things got worse when she got pregnant. He didn’t like the fact her body was changing, so he was spending time and money at various strip clubs, spending hundreds of dollars per week. Both were working, but he was partying the money away. About 9 months after the birth of the child, she filed for divorce.

Do I feel sorry for her? Not in the least. She got what she wanted, and she got what she deserved. If she had evaluated his personality and character, she would have discovered his true nature. Did she choose a kind and caring man? No. She got a dominating control freak, a bad bet for a husband.

So enjoy the ride (bring your own condoms), don't get too attached, and have an escape plan.

I'd like to point out for the modern man in the peanut gallery that this should be the default plan and it's her job, not yours, to prove that she is worthy of other approaches.

Because men aren't allowed to police broken women, and women sure as fuck aren't doing it either. And if women (broken or not) don't like the end result of men exercising the right to protect themselves from the end result of the prior dynamic, well, there are two spots they could easily start fixing that have just been identified.

Until then, suck it the fuck up and deal with it ladies. The sheer majority of men don't want this shitshow either.

I managed, in my entire life, to get ONE chick i dated to go to church and make SOME positive choices. And she still needs to be physically forced to work which she wont because American welfare system.

Literally every other time i tried to clean up/help the kind of woman that would deem a near-broke guy worthy of 30 seconds of her attention, at best it ended with ghosting.

Approaching 30 at least I've learned my lesson.

He "went through" her Snapchat...?

Does this mean all of that information was displayed in public, or did he get her phone without permission?

If it's the former, you put that out there for people to see and they can judge you on what you do in public. If it's the latter, then there's a problem with the relationship beyond the Snapchat.

Third possibility: She's leaving out a vital detail about what happened and/or mischaracterizing exactly how he found this out.

[–]Impressive-Cricket-8absolutely adores added alliterative appeal and assonance[S] 41 points42 points43 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Considering that she has long regretted how she acted, and it makes her ick at the though of her actions, but she still kept such conversations, I'm guessing there's something off with her side of the story.

Granted, I don't use snapchat but it seems to me that it's possible to delete things which are unwanted. But perhaps I am wrong and using that application is no different from etching your conversations into polished granite with a corundum-tipped 5-axis CNC grinding machine.

My ex-fiancee had a brazen double standard about privacy. Namely: I didn't have any.

Her own diary was a classified document, however. And I know this because she would flaunt how secret it was, waving it around, and announcing it loudly how I was not allowed to see it, and telling me where she kept it and I'd better not try to peek. Then, when I shrugged "whatever" and walked off, (apparently, I failed to get down on my knees to beg 'please please please just one peek?') she seemed rather disappointed and continued to bang away at just how secret and private it was and allllll of her fascinating thoughts were in there and I couldn't know about them.

"Whatever. I don't care."

It drove her nuts. I think she even started reading aloud at one point.

You were supposed to read her diary and confront her so she could dump you and put 100% of the blame on you for violating her trust. Then it'll 100% be your fault, even though everyone knows she set it up.

I dated a chick like that in High School who went to enormous effort to blame me for the breakup. (Its not nearly as dramatic of a story, she just refused to either go out with me on dates ever again OR to break up with me, hoping that I'd eventually "break up" with her and she could make me out to be the bad guy. My innovative solution was to tell everyone she dumped me, LOL she was pissed...)

I think as a gender, women vastly underestimate the amount of time they think they're "sending signals" as loud and clear as a billboard on the interstate or skywriting a message or yelling an announcement over PA speakers, yet when the entire male brain capacity of the internet tries to figure out what they're trying to say, we end up with no idea.

I mean, at this point it could have just been PMS or gas or her astrology chart, who knows?

What else has he yet to discover about her past?

Her extensive background in engineering, applied mathematics and thwarted career in national security. See, back in '38, she founded the Trenton Optical Corporation which managed to produce a knockoff variant of the famed Norden bombsight. She was on the verge of being sued into oblivion by the original patent-holders in '39 but, fortunately for her, the attack on Pearl Harbor got her an emergency exemption to the lawsuit while her case was on appeal. The factory was soon buoyed by a flood of new War Department contracts as several thousand airplanes needed to be outfitted with various forms of precision instrumentation. Eventually, Curtiss Aircraft bought the factory in '44 and she moved-on to develop an electromechanical tabulating machine which was used to refine the accuracy of the Army's artillery-aiming tables. She even won a civilian medal for her contributions to war production and spent the next few years as a technical consultant to Henry Stimson. The end of the war and the National Security Act of 1947 required a massive consolidation of the bureaucracy and after being on the wrong side of several internal disputes over policy direction, she'd gotten blackballed by an increasingly paranoid James Forrestal. As a sop from the Truman administration, she was offered the position of ambassador to Ecuador, which was a form of soft exile from the emerging military-industrial complex.

By then, she'd suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and spent most of the early 50s in a nursing home.

She didn't mention any of it because she was too humble to brag.

Every time I see one of these shocked pikachu face posts where women say, “But my past doesn’t matter!” I just laugh. They know their past matters. That’s why they at the very least don’t bring it up or at most actively try to hide it. They know it matters. They just don’t want men to think it matters. Now, if what she experienced was actual sexual abuse, I feel bad for her and she needs to seek counseling for it. However, you need to be up front about your past. Get in front of it, as I was always told. People need to be able to make informed decisions and they can’t do that if you hide stuff.

As a side note, if these things didn’t matter, why did she keep the exchanges? If she wanted to be done with that part of her life, why keep reminders of her past that she is trying to forget?

The true red flag is she only regrets not using the "delete" button, not what she did, in fact its endless hamster babble about how she has no free will and she never made things happen, things just happened to her, and everything she's ever done is someone else's fault. She's so close to breaking thru childhood and becoming a adult with her "regretted her actions" and stuff that's almost there. In the old days kids would mature in their teens but kids grow up much slower now, so of course she's acting like a teen despite being 22 calendar years old. She's close to being an adult but not yet. Pitiful that she's in her 20s.

Anyway that's the kind of conversation nobody wants to have so they're both going to pretend its about her being used up or whatever, not that he's dating a chick acting like she's stuck in her teens.

Somehow I think something's getting sugar coated. "flirting" happens and nobody cares. On the other hand, sexting under the age of consent (that's usually 18) is legally CP and I wouldn't want to get involved with a felon too dumb to hit the delete key or even realize they're doing something illegal. So I'm predicting what's sugar coated by her as "show my sexuality a lot" is actually CP pics of her underaged kitty or her pair of man-magnets, which is quite illegal. I'd want nothing to do with that.

I had bad parents too who didn’t instruct me on shit, women are exposed much much more in this sense, men get a pass for being incels, and it won’t ruin their lives, although they suffer in many other ways, and undignify themselves with porn and other cuckoldry… now if that girl had a father and a mother that thinks, maybe she’d have had it differently. I as a man don’t think selfishly just for myself, If that were my girl she would have known better than to whorearound.. all the good men gone should be like that, gone like the wind
