Almost invariably the lifestyle they want can only be accessed by a man who makes six figures

I haven't watched that show and can't vouch for the details of what is on it, but in my experience the sorts of lifestyles women concerned with such things want require way more than $100k/yr in income. Technically $900k/yr is also "six figures" but there is a world of difference.

Maybe 10% of men make $100k/yr, but these women often want $300k/yr lifestyles, and that is going to be a significantly smaller percentage of the men out there.

Men barely making $100k/yr might be able to sustain that kind of spending for a very short time by going into a ton of debt, but that is about it. Of course gold-diggers don't care about that - when you max out your credit lines she will just move on to the next simp.

I've had a six-figure income for well over a decade now, and my lifestyle is pretty modest. I'm almost done paying off my house and have quite a bit in savings. If I lived hand to mouth I could have a bit more stuff, but we're not talking McMansions here.

A DINK couple could do a McMansion if they both make six figures and leverage themselves up, but that is about it, and that is only going to last as long as both continue to work.

And of course that is just the matter of actually HAVING that kind of income. A lot of guys in that income level are getting red-pilled and aren't looking to blow it all on a woman who is just going to nag them all day long.

They can have their fun. I'm just glad I can go to bed at night and not worry about making my next mortgage payment if I lose my job.

For a while I was supporting my wife and two stepchildren as the sole earner (or close to it). We were living modestly but I definitely worried about what would happen if I lost my job.

Now I am saving around half my income, and if I do make a discretionary purchase it just means that I'm only saving maybe 30% of my income that month.

I see a lot of people out there and if they had my bank accounts they'd just go nuts for a year or two and then be broke again. For me that money buys peace of mind more than anything else. I don't mind spending on a hobby occasionally, but priority #1 is getting from a point where I could be out of work for a few years to a point where I could be out of work for the rest of my life. That isn't to say I need to quit my job at that point, but the peace of mind is everything.

Yeah...100K gets you a 20 year old home in the burbs with a ton of plumbing and structural problems and a mortgage to pay off. Once the gremlins arrive, you prior disposable income goes away as the female "nests" and has to have a cute x, y, or z for the baby. Maybe you can afford to go out to eat once a week and once a month hire a babysitter so you can go "out on the town"--except now all of the "high class" places you went to in your 20s seem ridiculous--paying $12 for some appletini nonsense--so you go to Applebees instead.

And, because of the female's spending habits, Mr. Six Figure Man is putting in extra hours at the office, trying to get that bonus, a promotion, another client or sales commission. Because he is working so hard, Mrs. I DESERVE THE BEST is getting resentful and feeling neglected. So she demands even more expensive items as proof of your affection, meanwhile, she is out spending your money with her gaggle of "mom's club" friends drinking wine with their babies in the strollers next to them. One of these friends tells of her exploits with the pool-boy/plumber/roofer, etc. etc. and encourages the other to have a "little on the side" because her "man isn't taking care of business."

Five years into this mess, Mr. SIX FIGURE MAN finally saved up enough to take wifey on some disease-infested cruise ship and walks back from the bar to discover his wife fucking some rando (or worse, the pool boy whom she invited along).

THAT is what 100K gets you. And after the inevitable divorce the man is ruined and literally starts over.

Thanks to Feminism™ it's extremely easy for men to have sex.

Before the fall of The Patriarchy™ women had a secret shadow cabal that controlled access to sex through a deceptive ploy called "marriage". The way it worked was that women - at least a plurality of them - didn't even give access to sex to a man until he was married. Sure, some scabs crossed the line, but they shamed and deemed "unfit for marriage". This had the desired effect of keeping the fuckboy population down to a record low level and had an unintentional effect of making men ambitious in order to attract a woman for marriage and the subsequent ritual coitus.

Now that the Patriarchy is dead, women are no longer oppressed and can have as much sex with whomever they want, even if they all want the same 20% of men, creating cutthroat competition for those men while leaving the other 80% out in the cold with their unattractive "skills" and "jobs" and "no prison tattoos".

So when one of these newly libetrted women complains about the current sexual and dating marketplace, just remember that in another era, she would probably have been married off to a man of equal and appropriate worth.
