Wednesday, June 10th 2015 Reddit closed and banned r/FatPeopleHate making nearly the entire group move to voat (similar to reddit).

The reason people were probably down voting you was because you made a statement without citing any sources. It really sounds ridiculous, that fat people live longer, and I don't necessarily disagree with it, but I think collectively people understand fat != healthy. They read your comment thinking you were saying, "fat people are healthier", when clearly you were just making a distinction.

I'm really just hoping you see why your comment was negatively received, and further the comments that responded, mine included, did not attempt to belittle or attack you in anyway. I thoroughly enjoy your comments, they are some of the best ones we have on this sub, usually coming with cited sources, and well researched opinions. I probably don't need to point this out, but it looks like she's had gastric bypass surgery (meaning that she had a lot of loose skin when the weight came off too quickly for the skin to react in tune with the weight loss) and then gained the weight back. I say this because I know a LOT of women who have had this surgery, (obesity is absolutely rampant in the Midwest) and all but one gained the weight back and look very similar to this--obese, yet with the weight distributed oddly.
This is a perfect example of how the "acceptance" movements work--basically shoving it down your throat, demanding that you fall in line with it, and then call you a piece of shit when you stick to your own preferences and principles and say, "Hey! No, I don't like or accept this."
You might be fine with your body the way it is, but most guys are not. And if you are looking for guys...well, the rest of my sentence should complete itself.

Most people who die have death certificates made in all countries for over 100 years, and coroner/ME reports that coincide with the death certificates on file have :
1> Birth date and death date (age of death)
2> Gender
3> Weight of corpse
4> Height of corpse
Using millions and millions of randomly selected coroner reports and typed into computer it is shown scientifically as a FACT :
BMI 35 is 60 pounds overweight on normal body frames.
There is nothing to debate they do try to put the 35 in a "range band" in some papers to hide this fact and say "BMI 27 to 35 dies the least overall"
The science papers you want are "All Cause Mortality" and "Weight"
There are now over 20 interesting theories why fat people die the least and are the healthiest by definition. Many not provable. Some seem semi-plausible.
But its propaganda that the extremely fat die earlier than any other group at all. Science though has known this interesting FACT for decades.
Get fat if you want to add years to your life.

I don't think your post would have anything to do with being banned or not being banned. A sub is banned when the moderators do not deter or otherwise allow commentators from breaking the rules. A post that is directed at some distinction or correlation isn't breaking the rules, and furthermore isn't attempting to deter breaking the rules either.

The problem, is fat people do not engage in any risky activities, because, well, they can't. They are stuck on the couch, or a chair, and only go outside when they absolutely have to. The less you are engaging in your environment, the less risk you have in your environment. That is the correlation.
Also, because of the advancements in the medical industry and socialized welfare, fat people are able to be poor and fat, while receiving treatment for their problems from being fat and food assistance to continue the cycle. They get insulin pumps, stints, bypasses, high blood pressure medication, etc, etc. They live to the ripe old age of 75 because the the public is paying for their treatments. Fat people are the most expensive people to support in society on the planet.
