I have yet to have a gig friend who isn’t creepy. A guy friend of mine seemed incredibly respectful, nice, kind and helpful. He would help out at the studio I go to, and he was very easy to talk to.

I end up going to his house where he lives with his brother after the studio to have a drink or two, (we usually have a drink after the studio across the street but it was closed). I also wanted to meet his dog.

His house was disgusting, and he had toilet paper roll by his bed when he was giving me a tour. Gave me signs of porn addiction. Then the topic of porn comes up casually and he mentions that he dated a girl who was inexperienced, so they watched porn together which helped her open up sexually and feel more confident.

That made me nauseous for some reason. But I was thinking to myself, “okay keep your distance but you do need his help for studio purposes”. Not long after that, I make a joke and he said “I’ll slap you silly for that, girl. But you’d probably like it 😉”

I replied, I’d never like that in any way shape or form. And I just want to go off on him at how disgusting he is. Also he’s pretty overweight, 6 years older than me, smokes weed often and says he’s depressed a lot. He’s also into nerd culture and all that.

At first it took a long long time for him to start being creepy. I enjoyed talking to him but dudes always tend to reveal themselves.

Has anyone been able to have a straight male friend who didn’t turn out to be creepy? It just angers me. I’ve had enough bad experiences.
