Hi ladies!!!!
I’ve been dating someone who I was seeing a few years ago but we ended things because 1 I was moving to another country and 2 he felt a little dependant on me and I was turned off. We recently reconnected because I moved home, and went on one (FDS approved) dinner date. He promptly planned the second dinner date at the end of the first, and messaged the next day to verify.
So far he has been consistent in actions and words and has demonstrated he is worth my time. He’s hard working, compassionate and is always pursuing greater skills and trying to better himself. He seems a lot more grounded and grown up from when we first “dated” (we went out for dinner a few times before I moved country) and is much less needy. We have another dinner date set for Monday evening, however in the lead up to dates his texting responses can take up to 5 hours, no joke.
On the one hand we aren’t exclusive, and he is a busy person working long days so I understand not communicating all the time or saving conversations for the date. Earlier in the week he asked me for movie recommendations which I gave to him.
On the other hand, I appreciate prompt replies, one hour max. I feel that no one is ever too busy to quickly type a text, it takes about 5 seconds. I also have mild anxiety and my texts being left unread for hours upon hours isn’t helpful or considerate of my anxiety.
I’m just seeking advice from an FDS perspective., and wondering if this is normal behaviour? Thank you ladies for all that you do ❤️
