Unfortunately, you don't have any leverage here, so you can only express your disapproval ONCE (don't keep bringing the shit up, but don't tell her it looks good or any other goofy shit like that) and then go on with improving yourself.

here's the other thing, you can't tell her what to do. If she asks, then stop at "I don't like it." The "don't do it" part is proving ineffective. Try eliminating that from your statement.

You know your wife- if she's got a bratty aspect to her personality, allow her to hamster that she is making the decision on her own. When you communicate directly like this, which is how men "should" communicate and is a good thing, you are not leaving her hamster any room to make the decision you want to see happen.

Have some fun with this- if she keeps cutting her hair short, start calling her a man's name. If her name is Alice, call her Allen.

In the end, you cannot MAKE her keep her hair long. You can only inspire her to want to please you and attract you. Want to guess how to accomplish That? Work on yourself.

Just so we are clear- you are an unattractive faggot and she doesn't care if you are attracted to her.

Hey! Mine is about 5 months into growing it back out. She talked about it, my only request was that she not come back looking like a lesbian. (aka, don't like short hair)

she did it, came back, asked if I liked it. All I said?

'no'

She cried a lot, got over it, build up a narrative about 'hair was damaged, had to cut it and grow it back again'. Kept her long hair with extensions as a facebook profile, and brags every time she reaches another length milestone.

If you're a good man, she will want to please you. At the same time, they do dumb shit sometimes. Just give her a path to please you, and a narrative to sound like a hero when she does it.

Clearly she has her own mindset about it and how she styles her hair is no different than what outfit she chooses on a given day. And it doesn't sound like she's at a place of wanting to go out of her way or to avoid her own preferences to please you. So my question to you is: Are you sure you want to die on this hill?

IMO, this is a low-impact matter as I doubt you'll want to divorce over the length of her hair. What you can do to help reinforce your preference is to compliment her on her long hair and ignore or change the subject whenever the topic of short hair comes up. She spent time making her long hair look nice? Notice her effort. Her long hair brushes against your face/chest/whatever during sex? Let her know how great it feels and adds to the experience. She asks you what you think of the short hairstyle of a random woman? "Meh," or "Not my type."

Basically, this really shouldn't be that different from other MRP advice of rewarding positive behavior and withdrawing presence or attention from negative behavior.

Whatever you decide to do, don't lie and say you like how it looks when you don't. She's led to believe you say you don't like it at first, but when I make my smart big girl decision to do it anyway he'll end up liking it like he always does. My wife knew when we met I didn't like it, all the way up through when she was pregnant and wanted to chop it all off. She cut it short and came home expecting me to like it. When asked, I calmly told her I didn't like it and it made her less attractive to me. She whined to her family what a jerk I was for a day or two...but hasn't cut it even close to short since then....almost 4 years ago. Just be honest, without being butthurt.
