My wife likes to use passive aggressiveness quite often. Some examples of comments recently:

1) My mom bought a diaper genie for the bedroom. The little one climbed out of the crib and used the diaper genie as a stoop to climb down. Instead, she slipped on the stoop and got her head on a dresser. My wife’s comment “she slipped on your mom’s diaper genie.” It’s obviously not my mom’s, it’s ours. I STFU and didn’t address the comment. But is not addressing it making her think It’s okay to make those comments?

2) We had a mini ladder in the bathroom because I was working on the lighting. I kept it in there throughout a couple of days. Any other adjacent rooms and the kids would’ve climbed it. Well my wife stubbed her toe on it. My son goes “mommy why are you hurt?” Her response “well I tripped over daddy’s ladder that for some reason was in the bathroom.” It’s not my ladder, it’s our ladder. And she knows why it was in the bathroom.

There are just two on the top of my head. Is STFU always better than addressing it? I just feel like if I allow her to make those comments and not address them in some way that she feels they are acceptable.
