disclaimer: *feel free to take this down. Even if the only thing I receive from this is u/bogeyd6 saying "I'm removing this shit and locking it aswell. Stop being a fuckin pussy", I'll have gotten my answer**

My wife's best friend and her are going through a rough patch (surprise, money is involved). I'm not sure how they will recover. I've told her exactly how to handle it, but the problem is ultimately hers.

Her friend got a boyfriend a year ago. We introduced them. The guy was an old friend of hers. They are now full on happy wife/happy life. Not my problem. However we have became fairly good friends out of the ordeal.

On Saturday we are having a couple over with their kids for dinner, a couple drinks and some sports. I would like to invite the couple stated above aswell. Wife showed disdain when I casually mentioned this the other day.

Inner beta says: you shouldn't invite them because it'll make your wife uncomfortable to have to hang with this chick

Inner alpha says: you want to have your friends family over to your house for dinner

Now I am not asking for my hand to be held or to be told what to do. I'll make a decision and own it with complete confidence. Only external objective advice/criticism.

Would a leader do what he wants and invite them? Or would a leader respect his wife's issue with this chick and provide her with the comfort of not having to deal with this uncomfort?
