I used to work with this girl. I've known her awhile but we didn't talk much. We recently started talking on Facebook. She told me she and her BF recently broke up. We exchanged numbers. I texted her last night and we set up a time to hang out at 2 today. She seemed excited to go.

At 2:10 I texted her and said at bar inside Downstairs (we originally agreed to meet on the patio)

At 2:30 she texted me. Said she can't come.

-Long story.

-sorry!!! I had an unexpected visitor at my house and it ate up all my time.

-I can come if you are willing to wait for me for like 30 mins

Then she calls me. Says sorry, her friend brought over a pet pig or some shit and she lost track of time. She said if I'm willing to wait around for 30 min she can still come.

I say it's fine, we'll Reschedule some other time. She says sorry, I hope your not mad. I say it's fine. She says well what are you doing the rest of the day? (Like asking why I can't wait around)

I say I have a friend that wants to hang out so I'm going over there. I'll set something up with her another time and ask what days she works. She says we can hang out whenever just hit her up.

I figured I would look like a tool if I sat around for 30 min waiting for her. And I should act indifferent about it on the phone.

Did I handle it ok? Is it worth even trying again?
