Treat the date as a social encounter.

Have some conversation about stuff you like talking about and end the date short.

Better to end the date short instead of saying something that might affect the other person's confidence.

A walk in the park isn't what most women would consider a date, sadly. So if you want to satisfy your makeup fetish, give them a reason to put it on. By the sounds of it, by the time you met up for the date, there has been almost 0 investment from either of you, so she would feel dumb for turning up to a walk in the park with some rando after doing herself up for an hour.

Something similar happened to me, except I had to stick it out to get her to drive me home lol (it's complicated).

She was fatter than I thought, absolutely no attraction. I felt like I was talking to a brick wall; it was the weirdest and most boring hour of my life.

In my mind, it's only a waste of time if you leave right when it isn't going to work. You've already made the trip out, you need to make it worth it somehow. The way you're thinking about this suggests a bit of a needy, outcome dependent mindset imo, in which the girl is the sole reason for your actions.

Personally I think it's lame to just ghost with no reason so I always say something like, "Hey, you know what, I'm just not that into you and don't want to waste either of our time. Let's call it a night- take care!" and head out. She's not butthurt and might put in more effort for her next date and I'm not stuck waiting around with someone who I'm not feeling.

Knowing how to exit any situation is important, not only in dating but also in family and work. Have the abundance to be able to exit a shitty family dinner or an inappropriate work situation (bad convo or their not compensating you well) as well. These sorts of situations are far more significant than a date with a random. Master those spots and exiting a shitty date is easy.

Are you cold approaching in bars/nightclubs? Buzzed? Tried day game? You need to screen better if this happened twice in a week.

As for what to do on the date, I’d give it at least 30 minutes. Always good to practice talking to women, analyzing body language, responding to all variety of passive and active shit tests, if you even get any thrown at you.

That happens to me all the time. The majority of girls on dating apps are frauds: they're much uglier than on their profile. When it happens I just use them to test their limits by saying whatever comes to my mind and grow from the experience. When I'm done I just make something up and leave.

I have long said, it doesn't matter if she's interesting, funny or can hold a conversation.
