You should be doing that always. You can be in a relationship and still be working on yourself and relationships that are healthy will help your self esteem

Getting laid is a “stepping stone” to a relationship? Having a one-night stand requires FAR more SMV and is much harder to accomplish than starting a relationship with some girl who sees you as a beta-cuck and gives infrequent bad sex. If you can pull girls for a ONS now, I am sure you are already capable of getting a high-quality relationship-minded girl.

I've tried that. I've read all the self improvement books for over a decade. Unfortunately, improvementmaxxing does not work. You can try decades upon decades to improve, but if it is not meant to be, then it is not meant to be. My advice, try to find some copes that help you endure the hand that you have been dealt.

Sure, although I do notice a pretty stark lack of effort from the other side, which has led to me no longer pursuing anything with anyone. Relationships require far more investment than hooking up does, and you shouldn't be willing to give your all to anyone not willing or able to do the same.

I used to be very firmly against this idea, but life experience has pushed me towards considering it. Rejection is mentally tilting, and that sort of tilt can really throw you off in other areas and detract from your progress. So if there’s so major issues you have that you need to work on, I definitely think that it’s valid to take a break from dating to try to keep yourself in a good mood and fix them.

Yeah I’m working on myself 100%. Just started going to the gym, going to start rock climbing soon and I’m trying to go out with friends to bars as much as possible.

That's not something that you have to do, it's just a preference. I mean working on yourself and working to be better at anything is a fantastic thing already but you might be already ready for a relationship without doing or changing anything. Getting better at something is always a good thing but it's not something that you have to do if you just wanna get a gf, if you wanna get laid then maybe it's a smarter choice but lucky things can still happen so..

Yes I will be in monk mode for another 6 months at the very least. In this time, I will be hitting the weights hard and doing as much cardio as I can so I can get leaner. And working on mental health ofc, will restrain from sexual activity as well
