It's so true. About a year ago I met this absolutely stunning model-looking girl who was temporarily in a wheelchair due to a broken hip or something like that. She was with this guy who was wheeling her around, buying her drinks, etc. I talked to her while he was with her friend.

She said "oh that's my friend Dave, I've known him forever, he's so nice, he drives me around and has really helped me while I've been in this stupid chair." I said "wow that is nice. You know he's into you, right?"

"Oh yeah of course he is."

"But he has no chance in hell ever, does he?"

"No way. Ever."

"You're just using his affection to make your life easier."

"Yeah I guess so." <giggles>

this is based on the premise that you start dating. thats silly, you dont DATE a girl in the friend zone; you migrate seamlessly into a FWB scenario. also...they are useful for expanding your social circle, which inevitably leads to more opportunities down the line.
