So I'm walking out of my class this morning and there's this HB7 who sits a few rows up from me who left at about the same time. The walk outside takes a few minutes from where my class is, so I ended up just chatting with her about the test results we'd just gotten back, the paper we had to write, other school related things. She seemed very out of it that day mentally so I teasingly called her out on it and she seemed to be willing to hold conversation with me.

Once we got outside we were going our separate ways and I said,

"Hey one sec, before you go, gimme your number."

She seemed a little taken aback and asked why I wanted it. Right as she said this, a girl walking by overheard and laughed, and for some reason instead of feeling embarrassed or shy like I normally do, I laughed as well. It wasn't a nervous laugh, it was genuine because I realized that I didn't give a fuck. So I responded,

"Cus I think your cute." And smiled.

She said ok, took my phone, and put her number in it. There was some joking around about her inability to type properly on my phone, but that was pretty much the end of it.

I don't really plan on texting her to be honest, but I'm just happy that I did it, especially after bitching out on a potential approach earlier this morning.

I'm just curious about whether I responded properly when she asked why I wanted her number? She didn't thank me for the compliment or anything, just kinda gave me her number immediately.
