Something as simple and honest as walking up to her and saying "I thought I could come up with an excuse to talk to you by the time I got here" or "I guess this is the moment I make something up just to start a conversation with you", either of those followed by spotting something around and "oh, let's talk about that over there... see? I've just solved our problem". Do this with an amused smile that tells her you're both enjoying an inside joke about how you walked up to her without knowing what you were going to say.

Bit of a long answer but bare with me.

Most of this "You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen" stuff works so much better on the internet than in real life. Don't start by giving them the high value JESUS it's so forced and will only work on girls who are below your league.

Literally anything related to the context you're in that you could get away with asking a guy as well without him looking at you weirdly.
- You can then inject your own social value into anecdotal tangents you can go on or just have a regular conversation.

SHOW you are NORMAL and THEN you can escalate NOT BEFORE. Don't show interest early!

It's something that you would realistically want to know the answer to anyway. Play dumb even if you know the answer. Because it's not so much about their answer it's about detecting their level of friendliness and openness to conversation.

It's something that THEY would be weird if they didn't answer in a friendly way to an innocuous question. If they give a dismissive "I don't know really"

At a bus stop ask (do you know how long until the bus? Do you know a good app for bustimes I can never depend on the timetable"
At a club "how much are the drinks here?/Where is the water?/What are you drinking? -> How much? "
then you could lead to, "Haha (Vodka Raspberry) that is the whitest girl drink I have ever heard" or "These drinks are so much more expensive than the ones in Asia I just got back from travelling. It's crazy how different the prices are"
Walking down the street see a cute girl? ASK FOR DIRECTIONS TO WHERE YOU ARE GOING! (Even if you know the answer) If you are rejected then just ask someone nearby within earshot.

It should be a little context related but can still be something slightly weirder:

In a park; "Strange question but what animals are generally in this park? Why? Oh this girl I know is afraid to come here" Their response can lead to further conversation "Oh you don't know? Maybe I should just google it. Where are you from then?" "Oh you're from around here so you must see a lot of these animals. No tigers hopefully. How long you been living in this area?"

You're basically starting with a conversation you could have with ANYONE (granny to guy to child) to gauge their level of openness and friendliness. If they seem dismissive at first and don't know, ask someone nearby the same question then come back and say "oh they said it was rats and stuff, jesus christ" or "they said it was about $10 for a shot, that's about average right?"

Most important is reading the situation

Also, when you say "day game openers" you mean just approaching someone you're interested in during the day right?

I don't usually advocate canned material (I would usually just say whatever comes into my mind, good or bad) but it's sometimes useful to have something in the back pocket to help you relax.

A good tip is to be honest with your intentions, and your opener should reflect that; you don't want your interaction to feel robotic. Go with something like

"Hey there, I don't usually do this, and I'm kind of in a rush, but I think you look really cute today and I just had to talk to you. What's your name?"

Start with that and calibrate to the girl's reaction. React to what she's wearing and take guesses/joke around about what kind of person she is based on that. This will get her talking and is a fun basis for conversation, even if it kinda sucks e.g "That's an interesting jacket, I'm guessing you have a motorbike parked around here somewhere."

Make sure to give that false time constraint as well (I'm in a rush); it gives you and the girl an easy out and will help her relax. Take a subtle step back after you open too to keep her comfortable, and keep things light and friendly throughout.

With daygame, I find the actual 'open' can be easier than night game since the bitch shields are down.

I just find the actual 'conversation starter' harder in day game for some reason. Other than like ''So.........what are you up to today?'' I can't tend to think of much, lol.

But i'm mainly about night game anyway, although at times I wish I was more confident with daygame. I saw this STUNNING GIRL at the bus stop yesterday, but just didn't really know what to say to her after the open, so bottled it!

Besides this idea of having a static opener ready, you could get inside of the girl's head and make a connection almost immediately by using observation skills to pick up on details in your surroundings that you can use to come up with original things to say that are suited to whatever is going on right then.
