I went out to dinner with a girl I had been fucking for a few months on and off whenever she was in town. She kept texting while we were at the dinner table. I said,

"Is that the new Iphone?"

"YES! Im soo excited my boss sold it to me for only $50"

"Cool let me see it"

"Ok!"

hands me phone

I calmly set it face down on my side of the table and continue the convo as if nothing happened.

id simply say "thank you for the lovely evening but you clearly have more pressing matters to deal with on your phone", pay for my portion of the bill and walk out.

uberdank has the right idea. When you're on a date with someone and they are texting or fucking with their phone, tell them to put it away. In the car, at your house, it doesn't matter, just tell them. I've had one girl who absolutely needed her cell phone because her father was in the hospital. Cool, valid reason. The rest are just texting and being disrespectful to your time. Tell them to put it away.

Couple ways you could do this without being needy:

Hey, that's rude, put it away for the night.
point to phone You don't need that, I'm all the entertainment you need. Put it away.
If you're with a girl who is being somewhat bitchy about using it then wait until she's talking. Pull out your phone, start fucking with it, interrupt her and tell her to hold on while you talk to your friend. When you're done, tell her "See, it's rude. Stop it."

A LITTLE MORE INFO ON THE SITUATION:

A few nights ago, I went out with a girl who I have known for a few years. She had just moved back home after graduating college out-of-state. We have a history of going out and hooking up.

So we went out to get drinks and she was using her phone alot. She said that her friends and roommates back in collegetown kept texting her because they were drunk and missing her. I know that she is into me, but the texting bugged me.

I remained neutral and unstifled by it even though I was annoyed because I didn't know how to correctly deal with the situation. What is the best way to deal with a girl who uses her phone way too much on a hangout or date?

Treat her like a bratty kid. Grab the phone and put it in your pocket and say: "You'll get this back at the end of the school day if you behave."
