Make statements instead of asking questions
[–]The_Wisest 59 points60 points61 points 4 years ago* (9 children) | Copy Link
From my experience, it doesn’t really fucking matter what you say or talk about. Either she’s into you or not, either she’s genuinely attracted to you and feel comfortable to be around you or not. Learn body language, eye contact and overall don’t be socially retarded
[–]KD_42 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link
I get that but I want to know if other people know how to have actually interesting conversations off the bat, i swear to God I'm gonna lose it starting another convo so boringly
[–]buckphifty150150 24 points25 points26 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
You probably feel that way from engaging in women that aren’t interested.. the convo is boring because your the only one holding it up.. a convo should be equally listening and engaging.. she should be asking you questions and you giving her follow up for what she says
[–]KD_42 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
Conversations usually go alright after a while, there is a back and forth and not me constantly asking questions like an interview but i just want to not start my interactions like some boring schmuck anymore cause that's definitely my weak point, maybe i just really hate small talk lol
[–]buckphifty150150 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Are these women you know or cold approach?
[–]KD_42 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Cold approaching
[–]inawlaah 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If you have happyish vibe during these question, conversations go well, even though they start off typical questions, they can take good paths
[–]SnooPets1514 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This OP. It's a numbers game. There are some things you can do to spice up a conversation, but by and large, if you're not a weirdo and you're just having general chit-chat and the girls not reciprocating it's not because of the words you're using, it's because she just doesn't fancy you mate
[–]sidbunch6 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
you and u/The_Wisest hit the nail on the head i think
I used to worry about this stuff a lot and couldn't work out why convos weren't going anywhere despite me trying many methods i'd read about on pickup forums etc
what i learnt was that it doesn't seem to matter, tbh. If you are her type, it all just happens by itself. she takes up the conversational slack and asks you things and laughs at anything you say etc etc
And if you're not her type it's like the best 'game' and stuff doesn't help - it's still super awkward as she's actually doing her best to end the convo ('running out of things to say' actually just means an unattracted girl is doing her job well haha)
[–]VNF420 -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No, it does matter. Talking to 1 girl or 2 isn't experience.
[–][deleted] 25 points26 points27 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Actually such bad advice... Go out and do fun interesting stuff so that you can talk about it. Having wild/interesting stories from your adventures is seriously the best way to engage and talk to women when on dates. Talk about dumb stuff you've done, funny things that happen to you etc.. Don't be afraid to make fun of yourself.
[–]VerySlump 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
“Just talk about yourself” isn’t good advice either
[–]SassyDeluxe 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Believe me, this is default mode for many guys on dates. They're so busy talking about themselves that they don't bother getting to know the woman they're with- ie asking her questions about herself.
Don't be that guy.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yeah obviously... OP was only asking for what interesting topics are there to talk about.
[–]Unterseeboot_480 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
"What interesting stuff can I talk about?"
"Just talk about yourself"
"No, I said interesting"
I'm sorry, this doesn't add anything to the conversation, but this made me laugh.

How’s your night going? / you having a fun night? / you look like you’re having a fun night!
Basically ask them how they’re feeling and they get more in touch with that feeling of fun And add to that feeling of fun / good time by being fun and having a good time your self and communicating it
If you set the tone with energy and fun then the rest of the interaction becomes easier
[–]Live-Ad-6309 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think the real question is how does one have this mythical fun.
[–]HappyKoalaBean 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I dont find those questions boring, if I'm interested in meeting a guy I would be flattered that somebody took an interest of me
I guess if you think those questions are boring then you might come across as boring, sometimes the delivery of those question matters? Like trying to sell a product you hate or smthing
[–]great_account 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Literally talk about anything. You'll eventually realize that it doesn't matter what you say. Just look her in the eye and don't let your voice crack.

The key to success with women is to get them talking while you listen. Women love to be validated for their looks, but when you validate their feelings they get horny.
[–]sportsdude523 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Example conversation of validating their feelings?
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
She tells you something personal about herself, or a crisis she’s dealing with regarding her family or at school, work, etc. You show empathy and say, I understand. Women like to be listened to and they like to feel a guy understands whatever they’re going through.
[–]sportsdude523 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
whwat's your way of getting to that tell you something perosonal part?
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
1) There has to be an attraction on her part for this to work.
2) You have to get into a conversation with her to get this to work.
3) If #1 and #2 are not there, you can’t get into a conversation where she opens up.

Idk if I’m interested in someone I usually say hi and ask how they’re doing. Things just flow. I tend to base off personality. My boyfriend and I just clicked. We’d have small talk and I asked him something about his iPhone. I still had android and was thinking about switching. From there it went to summer concerts that were coming to town and music and then family… It just happens.
Girls are people just like yourself. Try to remember your most engaging conversation and go from there maybe? I'm genuinely curious and I end up asking a lot of questions and making silly jokes in between. Ask yourself what's your real intention with this person. If it's getting to know them trust your instincts and be yourself. Usually, the flow comes naturally and you'll feel it.

Branch interesting conversation off that. Getting to know someone can be boring sometimes.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Your aim is to walk them through the processes and feelings of having met a guy that they find so irresistible that they have to go home with him.

Go watch the movie crazy stupid love. The Gos will give you some tips and tricks 🤓

well u need small talk first in order for it to develop into a deeper conversation. if it’s too awkward u could always start talking to her by asking her a question depending on ur surroundings. like hey do u know how to use this because i have no idea or did u get any of what the instructor said. idk. and then from there start a conversation like i’m insert name by the way nice to meet u how long have u been doing this for and why stuff like that. u need to ask her a lot of questions because everyone is a narcissist and loves talking about themselves. and then u can delve into deeper stuff like she’ll be like yeA i’ve done this ever since i was a little kid great memories with my mom 🥺 idk
You can start the conversation with a boring small talk question, but then use her answer to spin off to a more interesting discussion. Make a comment of your own related to her answer that includes something you are interested in.
Focus more on present moment and your current situation rather than future or broad topics. You can go really far from small things, and you would feel natural and easy-going.

Less talk, more facts. Dont waste time Say hi my name is... We should go on a date or meet tomorrow evening, for example
[–]No-Veterinarian4627 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ask what she’s interested in, find common ground and talk about that.
[–]Pop_Zestyclose 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Talk about what you enjoy. You'll know you have a good one in front of you if she has fun talking to you about the stuff you like and if she likes the same stuff too. Think about it this way, would you want to be around someone who thinks that what you say is boring or that what you like is stupid?
