A sleazy sales man wants to force his products on people, I don't because I'm looking for connection and interest on both ends.
If there is no connection, I just eject. I still have given value to her day, because she e.g. got a compliment and met a friendly stranger (me).
A sleazy salesman sells cheap/useless products, I'm neither cheap nor useless.
I don't think the sleazy sales man is even the most common negative box, in which women put guys, who approach them, when they perceive the act negatively. The most common box is the weirdo.
Even a sleazy sales man will finally encounter someone, who is interested in his product.

It's considered creepy to approach women now, according to women themselves. Even a simple "hello" is considered an unwarranted approach now, I sure as hell wouldn't want to get in any legal trouble just for shooting my shot.
