True. That’s why it’s vital for guys to learn to match a girls energy. If she is going to deny the value of your friendship as a key ingredient to a romantic relationship, then walk away from it. Women defend these kinds of decisions a lot but in the long term learn that they’ve missed out on someone who really thought they were special. Nah I’ve “friend zoned” women. It’s not just that you can’t move it to a romantic relationship or didn’t make the right moves. I’ve had women that we didn’t click sexually but had a great connection otherwise, sometimes shit just doesn’t work out and it’s nobody’s fault.

I’ve also been “friend zoned” a time or two. It’s generally that the connection wasn’t as strong as I thought it was, or priorities were different.

Yes you have to strike when the iron is hot, but being “friend zoned” isn’t always about that. In my experience it’s more about being emotionally compatible but not romantically. It sucks for the person who is still into the relationship but at the end of the day it’s better to be honest and upfront and get it over with.
