When I was in high school, there was this girl one grade higher than mine. I had a crush on her for 4 years, from 9-12. At the final school dance, I was mortified, knowing full well if I didn't make a move I'd never get another chance.

About an hour before the end I was still chicken in out, and I left in disgust. I actually lived across the road from my school, so went home, stole a Guinness from my dad's cooler, and went to the park nearby. I smoked a couple cigarettes, slammed the beer, and got fuelled by determination.

I returned to the school , went up and asked her to dance. She accepted, and while we danced I kissed her neck amorously. She didn't flinch, but afterwards I felt like her friends were giving me the evil eye. It was worth it

Fuck yes. Took this girl out last week. HB10, jumping a few levels for me. She's got her shit together (grad school, interned at NASA last year, comes from some money). I didn't think things would go any further.

3 beers and then I watched this. Told her that she's mine tomorrow. It worked. Meeting up 7:30 tomorrow evening, don't even care if I seal the deal.

I knew that if I didn't capitalize that I would regret it forever.

There's absolutely nothing to learn from this advertisement in relation to picking up women. Everything about it is contrived bullshit. Every event within the ad is fake. This has no bearing on really attracting women and leading a fun life.

The guy gets punched in the face and leaves alone. What exactly about this commercial speaks to being in state?

"State- Literally, your mental state at a given time. Being "in state" means your mental state is at the optimum level for social interaction, especially with women."

Getting punched in the face and leaving alone doesn't sound like "the optimum level for social interaction"
