Don't wait to travel to Budapest to start. Start now. Go to bars and night clubs before you go. If you wait till Budapest, then you're just hyping the situation up, which can be daunting if you're a beginner. Go out now, so by the time you are in Budapest, you'll already have some basic skills, which will make you more confident.

Reading your post above, I would say given your circumstances, trying to be a pickup artist from the get-go isn't the right approach here. Though I do really admire your willingness to take action NOW. That's going to get you really far. Not trying to be mean, let me explain:

I've always had a mantra in this of "The Game starts with you". A lot of people come into this sort of thing having terrible upbringings, were social outcasts and never had friends or they were bullied or whatever and have mental health issues and childhood traumas where they're trying to compensate or plug that void inside of them with women and external validation. Myself? I'm a combination of being bullied and issues at home. I was terrible with women and socially in general and had a lot of unrealised childhood traumas which I'm actually still working through to this day. So they come into this thinking that they'll spout some canned lines and women will fall all over them - it doesn't work like this. Two people can say the same canned lines or do the same techniques but get different results depending on how they feel inside when delivering them. Fundamentally, how you feel about yourself inside and the world around you matters more than any techniques or canned lines you can pull out.

Think of it like a pyramid where if the base of the pyramid is weak the rest will, if it hasn't already, fall down. To say, no techniques or canned lines are going to work properly if your inner game is a mess. This is why RSD stopped focusing so much on outer game so much and started focusing much more on self-help and inner game - they found that by doing this a lot of the outer game techniques they were teaching just naturally fell into place.

So here is my advice to a dude starting out from a dude who's been through something very similar:

Start approaching immediately - don't wait. Try and make 3 - 5 approaches a day.
Start working on your inner game, to say: your core confidence, coming from a place of abundance, unplugging from social conditioning and group think, self amusement, outcome independence. See:

At the same time as you're working on your inner game, start working on your basic social skills and making friends rather than picking up girls. Become amazing at making new friends from cold approach. Look for the ones you naturally connect with and start hanging out with them. The reason you do this is because the game is played in "comfort", your normal social skills are what will get you women, not any fancy pickup stuff. Consider that 99% of guys cannot cold approach a woman and just be normal. If you can simply do that you are better at women than 99% of guys.

Books I'd recommend for this:

What Every BODY is Saying by Joe Navarro - 60% - 70% of communication is non-verbal, it's not really what you say but HOW you say it. Actions speak louder than words. It's very important you understand what peoples body language means more than what you or them are actually saying.

It's not all about me by Robin Dreeke

Using improv comedy techniques - Improve your conversations by Patrick King

How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie - Dale's book focuses more on business settings, keeping this in mind, but a lot of the principles in there are applicable to game.

Making People Talk: You Can Turn Every Conversation into a Magic Moment by Barry J. Farber (If you can get your hands on this it's a really good book)

Once you have this down, now we focus on attracting women. Read/watch:

The reason you learn "Comfort" first is that it's your baseline. 80% of what you do will be comfort stuff. Then what you do is weave bits of "attraction" into it. Hope this helps, any questions feel free to ask!

Also a couple of things:

- High prices for alcohol here. I'm dependent on government benefits. I want to save up for my travel abroad.

Don't drink to game - it will fuck up your game. If you end up in a situation where you approach a girl and she ends up buying you a drink or you buy her a drink, that's fine, it builds comfort. But in general don't drink. You want to learn how to game girls without alcohol.

- Poor logistics and I have no car, limited public transit.

Do what you can, go for day 2 dates rather than same-night-lays.

- Not allowed to get into bars in nearest city because the bouncer says that I'm ''too old'' or have ''need a student card''. I don't want to risk to travel and then face shitty discrimination from the bouncers in this country. Keep in mind that I'm a underclass minority here. Abroad there is more respect because you are an tourist.

Learning how to game the night clubs themselves is actually part of the game itself and not an excuse to bail out of it. Figure out how to get passed this sort of stuff, a thing a lot of RSD instructors will do for example is game some attractive women outside a club at first and then use them to get into exclusive venues as they were more likely to get in when they had an attractive woman on their arms. Try making friends with the staff at these places to see if they'll open doors for you.

The Blueprint by Tyler Durden. This will give you more clarity than anything else. Then try Vin di Carlos Attraction Code. And don't just Practise pickup ie cold approach. That's great Practise but the aim in to be attractive to every single woman you Coe across is your life other than your mother & sister. So, it's not like you go into attraction mode Ina bar & switch off later. Be interesting, cheerful and attractive and Practise the principles on every girl you come across.

Models by Mark Manson is literally all you need.

The Game by Neil Strauss is fine if you don't take it too seriously as it hasn't aged too well.

I tried reading the 3% man and I thought it was absolute garbage.

My therapist also recommended to me "The Man's Guide to Women". It was written by 2 PhDs apparently, but I have not given it a read yet.

A lot of pick up/self help books have a lot of bullshit to sift through. The best ones are the ones that have the least. Models is that book.

I've been to Budapest and tbh the place is quite overhyped for partying. I found that the ratios are really off in a lot of the hostels, bit of a sausage fest and every guy there has got the same thing on his mind. The girls there know this and make you really work for it. I had some success there but it was tough I gotta admit.

I actually found the other party capital, Prague, a bit better although it's been a while since I've been there, still can be a bit of a sausage fest. Split is quite good if you go during the uni break in summer, heaps of backpackers.

Tbh the easiest places for picking up are sometimes the places you least expect. This is because girls usually don't go to certain party destinations only to party unless they're sluts. Most regular girls want to 'see the sites' of cultural cities (not party cities) and then sometimes go out at night in these cultural cities. Their guards are down a lot more and less dudes to compete with. I had big successes at Krakow, Florence and Rome of all places. Spain is also amazing for picking up (Barcelona and Madrid).

Given your situation, I think you should go and just look to converse with people, try and have a good time and see how things go. Treat it more as a journey of finding yourself and growing. If you put pressure on yourself to get laid you will find it very difficult, frustrating and upsetting, just take one step at a time. Regarding books, models by Mark Manson is the best and the only must read in my opinion.

For me, first contact with game was "the Game" by Neil strauss, i think it's a good entry point into the world of pua as it differentiates from the other world of "seduction" (buy her flowers and chocolates, take her to her favorite restaurant.) After the game i obviously started watching Mystery and the mystery method, also a lot of David D'angelo. But after a while it just felt off with me and i totally clicked with Rsd, mainly Tyler and started studying their stuff. As a bit of an asperger myself, i like to have a complete picture of the field i get into. So i don't necessarily need the most efficient way to get somewhere ( which is what i want, but maybe not need) but it helps to understand where everything came from and how it got to be, to understand the underlying processes and context better.
