Just noticed this the other day when put on nice slick jacket and could feel change. I've been wearing a size too big on my shirts and noticed the difference in my body shape with correct tight fit.

Time to redo my wardrobe :)

I don’t think anyone needs to get stylist. A stylist takes a lot of the guess work it takes to dress better, but like with most things in life I believe it’s more beneficial to try, fail and continue to adapt and experiment.

To improve my style I had my roommate (who was a girl at the time) and a good friend of mine to go shopping with me and pick out things for me. I put on things that I would have never tried on if I would have went on my own. Over time I discovered what sizes fit the best and which colors best complimented my skin.

r/streetwear is a good sub for style inspiration. I also follow modernmenstreetstyle, streetstylegents,and menwithstreetstyle along with a few more pages on ig. As you look at other people’s style you start to notice what colors go best together, how shoes make or break a good outfit and how important quality is.

Style is very important in my opinion. The confidence boost is well worth the investment. If you have the money to waste a stylist wouldn’t hurt, but it’s not necessary.

If you have a Nordstrom's near you then they offer free sessions with a stylist. You can book an appointment on their website. Just found out about this recently so I haven't tried it, but the fact that it's completely free seems promising even if they'll be biased toward Nordstrom's brands

This is a great idea actually. If you can afford it, definitely follow this advice. If you can’t afford it, there are still options that you can pursue on your own. Go out and about to public places and observe. Look for well-dressed men with your similar look (and age) and check out what they are wearing. Google a celebrity that you look similar to and check out their wardrobe in casual and formal venues. You can also look up those services that send clothes to you in the mail and see what different combinations work for you. I wish I had access to a personal assistant, but when I didn’t I improvised and it served me very well. I gained several compliments much to my surprise. And it certainly boosted my confidence.

Another thing I'd like to add on to OP's brilliant tip is that DRESSING WELL should not be mixed up with OVERDRESSING. It's not!! Many people tend to shy away from 'dressing well' because they think these advices tell you to 'kill it' every time you dress up and go out, like put on a suit or suspenders but i'm just kidding, you guys get the idea. No, dressing well at the basic level is all about achieving a GREAT FIT, getting WELL-MATCHING, COMPLEMENTARY COLOURS in your clothing. It should be a basic for every man to look presentable, but not ending up ostentatiously dapper everywhere.

Wearing clothes that fit properly is also very important. Many guys (used to be me too) wear t-shirts and jeans that are too big/baggy for them. It looks sloppy and immature. Once I lost some weight (not even a lot!) and started wearing shirts and pants that fit me properly, I started to feel much better going out in public and I believe people can pick up on that.

As a 23 y/o who recently lost their virginity, I can 1000% stand by this advice. More so for me was actually making an effort with styling my hair and facial hair, I used to sort of just let it hang and looking back it looked horrible and I can see why I wasn't getting any looks. 3 months since I sort of changed my life for the better (socialising more, dressing better, making an effort with grooming) and have had more success with lé seduction and am just overall more confident and comfortable in my own skin.

Pro tip, Armani exchange has Pima cotton tees that go 2 for 50 all the time that are high quality light v necks and t shirts that are super thin and shape well around European builds

I don't know who you are or how you know this, but this is BIG. I am 5'3 and I would say I am an 8/10 in the face. Height is my mental limiting factor. I am just any other nobody when I dress average but as soon as I applied what you said here it completely transformed my life. I didn't hire anyone though. I did my own research online, so that part is not 100% essential. Youtube is great for this.

PS. Dressing WELL & Dressing UP are two different things. Dress well, you don't need to be suited to the teeth.

I'd reccomend following this advice but please try to get a professional service (or something close to it). Re-doing your wardrobe is a lot of work, and if you ask a friend to "help" you, you're probably going to end up with their style instead of yours. Professionals are trained to help YOU find what you like and what fits best on your body.

If you use a friend instead, not only is it a lot to ask of a friend, but you're likely going to be unhappy with the results :(

I've had the same combed over haircut most of my life and when I once I changed it (skin-tight faded undercut with long top slicked back) i would get compliments almost every day. People also complimented other small things. I usually have a cigarette on my ear, someone thought it was neat. Someome noticed the cologne I use, etc. It feels nice when people notice the small things you do to make yourself better.

True. Dressing like a homeless person, slouching and dragging your feet is a lot harder on game than dressing in an amazing suit and holding your head and shoulders back when you walk. Also, don't ask for a womans number. Ask her if she's in a hurry and would like to talk over coffee. If she is, then get her Instagram or number.

This is one of the things that guys who call themselves "ugly" should do before anything. It's called a "quick win" when you do that you start to realize just how attractive you really are. I am the type of person that is naturally good looking, and even I forget that fact.. When this happens I hop into my head and start to be my own worst enemy.

So my solution is what Mystery and company did in VH1's the pick up artist, they gave the guys makeovers and they got to see just how attractive they really were.

My advice is: Dress the best for your age, your body type, your budget and the venue you are going to. Get a better hair cut for your face and head shape, if your eye brows are too bushy, have them waxed.

You will see yourself in the mirror and realize just how attractive that you really are.

When you suddenly start to have a style, of course, it will be noticeable for you and for others. I was thought how to dress nicely and always had a high quality wardrobe from childhood, so it’s like a second nature for me and I don’t notice it at all. Yes, sometimes people look, but nothing crazy even though my appearance is better than average to say at least.

I was raised by a single dad, which means I didn't learn anything on how to dress or take care of my health, skin etc. In the recent few years I started taking care of my looks and I can vouch that it changes your life. More girls started looking at me and for longer period of times.

I didn't hire any stylist but just followed some sites and started looking into myself everyday in the mirror and think, how could I look better.

Any oxford shirt (maybe rolled sleeves) tucked into khakis with a decent belt + waxed/polished boots or sandals is my recipe... use a measuring tape to figure out your size, then wear that size.

While this is definitely true, and I love to go shopping and wearing nice clothes cause it makes me feel good, in the end it's all about your game and your chemistry with said person.

Dating my ex was the easiest thing in the world. First time we met we both fell in love with each other on the spot. Guess how I dressed that day? Like a fucking bum. I wasn't planning to meet my future girlfriend at all. I had so little money and I was tiny and scrawny and skinny. But the chemistry was there from the beginning. Things just escalated naturally. It was the most effortless pick-up of my life and my clothes had nothing to do with it.

Today I am much bigger and stronger, have more money and better clothes. But there are times in everyone's life where there just isn't enough money to spend on clothes and the gym, and those are the times when you should focus most of your attention on game, and on choosing the right women for you.
