I am a 19y/o male, in my first semester of college. Virgin, I’ve had a couple chances to lose my virginity but fucked it up every time. One time was remarkably close, but it didn’t happen because I didn’t take initiative enough. Another time I remember I just ended up ghosting this girl because I was too afraid of what she would actually think of my personality.

I’ve been told I’m good looking all throughout my life, my dad apparently was a “ladies man” and my family members tell me I’m better looking than him. I agree about my looks for the most part, but still have a few insecurities about my appearance. But of course, looks really aren’t everything, especially if you have a personality like mine.

I am very socially inept, socially anxious, many behaviors from my family and social circles indicate this. I come off as awkward and unsure of myself, and while it is true, I absolutely hate when people perceive me like this, sometimes I just want to cut them all off, so that perception won’t exist. I feel like I have no personality at all. No charisma, very soft spoken. Don’t think quickly enough to interject something witty into a conversation, nothing meaningful to add to conversations, I have no sense of humor, I never tell jokes, things like that just don’t cross my mind. I’ve never been a humorous type of person, I prefer to ponder other things. Feels like whenever I read success stories on here, OP always uses these witty, playful jokes at the right time, which is something I have never been able to do; I’m not charming, and I feel like my personality does not live up to my looks, which I feel throws people off. I wouldn’t say I’m a boring person, I have many interests in things like fashion, psychology, philosophy, storytelling, niche video games, etc. But knowledge about these things seem to be useless in social situations most of the time, besides when I’m having a 1 on 1 conversation where I can really go in depth about my interests.

Growing up, I really didn’t have a healthy social life until late middle school / high school, which is when I became good at sports. Looking back, I think I had a very fulfilling high school experience, but my social skills are still shit, I guess.

So yeah, basically because of my social inadequacies / personality, I feel like I am just not an ideal partner for a woman. This is the worst I’ve felt about this in a long time.
