FYI that book was updated by some of Mystery's presumably more sane coaching colleagues. The revised book is called Revelation By Venusian Arts. But that book seems to have been much less successful. It quickly went out of print and now is available only as a pirate download e.g. torrent, or as a very expensive used hard copy.

From a quick perusal, I gather that Revelation is a lot more reasonable. It explains the old stupid tricks but with the warning that, these are only learning tools to use in a phased approach as you learn natural game. I.e. as you learn to attract women by acting normal.

Unfortunately, it seems like every day on every pickup/dating forum in the world, people advise other people that crazy old Mystery's crazy old book in its original edition is "all you need". That plus the plug (if you could call it that) in The Game seem to keep driving poor dumb guys to read and imitate Mystery Method ... which makes the entire field of pickup appear creepy.

Long, long ago other PUA coaches like Mark Manson, Lance Mason and others identified the root causes of why Mystery's creepy tricks (sometimes) work, and started to teach the natural, normal solutions. So the B.S. stuff like peacocking, deliberate negging, palm reading have been banished except maybe to use on the most autistic guys in closed training sessions ... not on the female public. Everyone else should forget MM, stop babbling about it on forums, shut up about it and banish it to the dustbin of history. After all you don't see doctors going around babbling about how "Bloodletting for Beginners" is all you need to start healing people.

TLDR: Forget the fucking Mystery Method and move on.

I did Mystery Method for 3 years, 3 to 7 days a week. I was quite successful. Now I've been living in a 10 year LTR with a beautiful, lovely woman. All my earlier, young age disabling frustration are gone, I feel complete, nothing missing from my life, I don't feel I've missed anything. MM made me calm, confident, focused, social, ambitiotus. It's better than being an incel, you know from the news what they do if they get really angry. "Don't hate the player, hate the game." Thanks Mystery!

I gave mysterymethod a goood go for a while back in the day, but it's not better than any other 'method' tbh.

If a girl isn't into you, the 'neg' will just make her hostile and walk off. She doesn't care about your DHV story. She might like teh parlour tricks and routines/magic or whatever, but it doesn't make her 'attracted'. Just entertains her briefly. She won't attempt to qualify herself when you ask her 'what she has going for her other than looks' etc (which means you can never show intent).

I don't hate it (anything that gets you too approach gets the thumbs up from me), but it's no better than the other million books/methods out there. It's all largely irrelevant as you can't force a girl to be attracted to you, and the girls over at 'FemaleDatingStrategy clearly agree lol (ps - I have to say mysteries infields are beyond cringey and with much worse results than of those who break all of his rules tbh)

Direct game seems to be leading the way in the community for what it's worth. I actually tend to still run 'indirect game' (i.e I don't show my intent straight away and wait until I think she's possible interested before I make my intent crystal clear)

Funny sub, though. I'll have to check it out
