Text her a short affirmative message, "sure." Do the minimal follow up necessary to arrange the next date. Keep comms to a minimum until then. Schedule a first date with someone else to begin an hour after your MoMA date starts. If she flakes next time, Girl #2 is your actual date. If she shows up, tell Girl #2 sorry and you'll reschedule.

Side benefit. If your gut tells you this is going the wrong way in the first 30 minutes, make your excuses, cut her loose, and jump on girl #2.

Don't try to reschedule yet. Give it the weekend then text her Monday about heading to the museum.

Also, museums are a great idea for dates. You can talk about things you see without having the constant stimulation of, say, a movie, and you can even lead her around and get physical (e.g., hold her hand or tap her because you want to show her something).

I don't buy it. In general, they will say "I'd love to go to the MOMA with you tho. What about Monday?" if they are really interested. If she is just saying "next time?" she's forcing you to reach out to her to set it up again. She's making you chase. I think the advice on a short answer is good - "Sure" or "no problem" then DO NOT TEXT HER. Make her text you. If she actually wants to see you she will text you to initiate something or at least initiate conversation. String theory, dude. Don't continue to put yourself out there until she puts herself out there. I'm not saying you don't take her up on it if she means it, but make her chase you a bit. And yes, in the meantime, continue seeking other prospects.
