Well, Monday was the last day of lecture, and there is (as there always is) a girl in that class I found myself quite attracted to. I had talked to her a little bit before hand, and got her number as well out of that. On Monday, however, I wanted to get straight to the point and not deal with the flakiness brought on through the phone. So, after class, I go up to her in the hall and start chatting her up, which she seems happy to participate in. I was stuttering a bit because I was pretty far out of my comfort zone, and I'm pretty sure she picked up on the nerves, but she didn't seem phased by it at all. Not too far into the conversation, I say to her "You're really interesting, and I'd like to get to know you better. Want to grab coffee some time" at which point she resonded with "I just want to warn you that you do have a boyfriend if that's what this is about" at which point I... bailed in the most awkward fashion ever. Very much NOTHING TO DO HERE status. Pretty much just said "Oh..." and then just walked off. I'm not sure if that was a shit test or not, but it didn't feel like it was. Then again, I'm an absolute scrub at this.
