This is my first FR, and before I start I have to truly thank the Seddit community, from the bottom of my heart. This subreddit and the Fittit subreddit have changed my life.

Background info:

Classic AFC, no decent father figure growing up, terrible case of oneitis, going from being one girl's beta bitch to the next. Rarely getting laid, and honestly, (this is hard to admit, even in an anonymous way.) I haven't gotten laid since I was 24, I'm now 31.

My journey to alpha land began about 2 years ago, I decided to get my fat ass in shape, so I quit smoking, started going to the gym. I was doing something wrong though. I was doing it all for a girl that I was in "love" with. I lost about 50 pounds, started gaining some confidence, and pulled the ultimate AFC move: confessed my undying love for her via facebook message. I don't even have to tell you how that ended. It shook the tiny bit of confidence I had, sent me spiraling into depression land, I quit going to the gym, and started eating like a fatty again.

Fast forward to about one month ago. I was putting on weight again, sitting at home nerding out on WoW, or surfing reddit every night. I came upon Seddit, and started reading out of curiosity, I'd always assumed the PUA community was a bunch of collar popping douches until I started really reading, watching some videos, etc. I discovered what you all already know. True "game" isn't about cheesy pickup lines, or tricking girls into sleeping with you. It's about being the best possible version of yourself, and showing that to everyone around you.

Anyway! On with the FR!

Over the last week I've really been working on my confidence, engaging people wherever I am, maintaining eye contact, talking to them, truly listening to what they say. I have a long way to go, and have made countless mistakes, but I have learned more about how to deal with people in the last week than I have in my entire life.

Friday night:

I head out to the local downtown area and hit the bars with a couple of buddies of mine from work. I realize almost immediately that this is a mistake, these dudes are both a bit older than I am, married, and quite beta. So rather than get trapped with these two, I start to split my time between hanging out with them, and patrolling the bar we're in, making eye contact with the girls, trying to open sets. (I mostly failed miserably, but hey, I'm still learning.) I finally end up chatting up an older chick in the bar, watching the live band play, I'm escalating kino, doing a pretty good job of it. My buddies swoop in and begin to immediately screw things up, I kinda give them the "be somewhere else" look, and continue to chat/kino this woman. Out of nowhere, this HB9 swoops in, and starts flirting a bit with me, so I'm dividing my time between the two, (clearly the HB9 is the prize here, the older lady is maybe a 4.) The HB9 mentions her boyfriend, motioning behind her, this immediately shakes my confidence. I never actually saw the guy. I don't even know if he was a real person or not, but it was enough to throw me out of state when I should have been escalating kino, she gets bored and wonders off. The guys start whining about being tired, and want to go. (I was driving.) So we head out.

I drop them off, and head down to a bar near my place. I was in a pretty good state, and didn't want to waste it. I walk in, the place is totally dead, just a few younger guys hanging at the bar, clearly supplicants of the amazingly hot female bartender. I come in, and immediately start chatting with the male bartender like we're best buddies. I've been frequenting the place for a while, we're on a first name basis, but I'd never really had a conversation with any of the bartenders before. Turns out he's a redditor, we're having a pretty intense conversation about Egypt, Libya, etc., and the focus of everyone at the bar turns to us. The hot bartender starts hovering in, and I bring her into the conversation. A few minutes later the "DJ" (young HB6 who plays music by request off of a laptop) drifts over, and I draw her in as well. Within a few minutes the hot bartender actually comes around the bar and sits next to me. So I've got her on one side, the HB6 DJ on the other side, and still having a pretty great conversation with the male bartender across the bar.

Social Proof like crazy, I only wish there were more people in the bar to witness it.

I start to focus in on the hot bartender a bit, she complains about her feet hurting, so I suggest she kick 'em up on the bar. She then asks if I would massage them, I respond with "Eww, no, you've been working all night, they're probably stank!" She looks offended so I throw her a bit of kino (shoulder pat) and a "just kidding, haha," then turn my attention to the DJ, start talking about music, grab her, take her over to her station, and start picking out random songs to play while chatting/kinoing her. I should have tried to #close her right there, but I just ended up guiding her back over to the bar, and resuming the conversation with the two bartenders. She sat staring at me the whole time. It's getting pretty late at this point, and I decide to go. The hot bartender and the DJ both make sure I know which nights they work, and the male bartender invites me out to watch the AFC fight at a bar downtown.
