It's actually difficult and time-consuming try to have an emphatic conversation, try to project sarcasm, irony and all other emotions that I would normally display in a face to face conversation.
Body language, facial expressions, the rhythm, the timing and the tone of your words are limited to text and fuckin emojis.
Moreover, I like to have my jobs done quickly and I hate to waste my time to wait for other responses while organizing things, sending a question into space a wait for a comeback after a random amount of time.
If I want/need to talk to you I call you.

Every time I get her number, I call her.
The next day, the day after or maybe the same day she gave me it.
And every time, during the date, she genuinely confesses that she loved that I straight called her, every time.
I hate texting, I try to avoid it as much as I can, especially on the first dates.
