Its called S and R value. Your social value goes up when you are seen with people, specifically attractive females.

When your alone people look at you like your some kind of weirdo. I don't know why but whenever I tell people that I sometimes go out alone, they ask "why? I would never do that!" personally IDGAF!.

People who are confident enough to be out alone are intriguing, sort of a "lone wolf/ranger" type thing... Anyone who's giving you weird looks or comments is just jealous of your nonchalantness.

Think about it...they automatically assume you're an out going guy who is capable of making friends. They subconsciously think "if they like him I could like him too." But if you're alone they think the opposite, a majority of the time.

AtticusSeduction pretty much summed up the theory behind this.

Whenever I go out by myself, my first instinct is to hitch up with a bunch of random guys. I talk to a group of guys, get to know them, talk about random shit, and then hang out for the night.

That way, I expand my connections, I have fun, and I have some social proof for when I go to talk to some girls.

You hav no social proof or preselection. you'll have to construct that for yourself. Don't be the guy standing lonely in the corner, waiting. You can either be the guy who is confident as fuck just sitting and drinking his drink or you can be the guy that is talking and joking to everbody .

I can tell you, being the just confident guy is waaaaay harder.

An over generalization is that someone who is out alone seems suspicious. Most cases where you see someone alone they appear uncomfortable and needy, most people don't want that weird energy infiltrating their night because they don't want to be responsible for taking care of them or rejecting them.

It all depends on the type of people that you interact with. Some people are more inviting than others because their intentions are to meet new people whilst others focus on something else and are resistant to having strangers introduced into their lives.

Don't always look at being alone as a bad thing. There are actually groups of girls out there who are looking to pick up guys and they see a guy who is alone as a good target because there is less pressure and they are more inclined to approach him.

On the other side of things: People who are with company appear as higher value beings because they have people who want to be around them and therefore must have attractive traits for that to happen. These factors contribute to social proof and raise your value as a person on appearances however they can also work against your favour sometimes. People who are in groups are less approachable because they are more intimidating as there are more minds capable of judging the approacher.
