you should have gone with something along the lines of."oh, you have heard that before?!!? Dont hate me bc your clothes dont suit you. Tell you what, next time i can help you pick out something sexier" then you could have grabbed her hand twirled her and said something like "yep, this is def not doing it." As long as you have a playful tone of voice and a good frame, you can pretty much get away with almost anything.
