I would argue it would be more beneficial if you had a good job that paid well. When you are looking for a fling, people want the superficial things, but if you are looking for a serious long term partner you are looking for more meaningful things.

I think your time would be better spent focusing on being a good, meaningful, long term partner for someone. Work on being the best person you can be.

For what it is worth, I have known many guys 5 ft 9 and under that were chick magnets, but all of them had good jobs.

Yikes. I'd never change being 5'5 to higher. It wouldn't even make you more attractive. Just shows you're insecure and don't love yourself, which is the opposite of attractive

5'9" is a perfectly reasonable height and absolutely no reason for getting surgery that will leave you disabled for a year (and that is if you're lucky).

I'm 6'2" and I'm getting pretty much no action, and I know his who are shorter than you who are plenty successful with women. I'm not saying height doesn't make any difference - I guess it can help, but its value is way overestimated. Whatever you think you're lacking in terms of height can be easily offset by other stuff that you can actually change with much less pain and effort.

Imagine what other shallow pov’s that they also have? And imagine if you have to deal with all those shallow pov’s for months or even years. Even if the reward is good sex, I don’t think it’s worth it.

Now you’re here as a guy who panders to that shallow idea that you should be taller than you are now. So next time for example your girl says “hey I wanna have a 3some with you and another guy”, big chance you wanna fulfill her request too? That would be beyond insane and a terrible idea. Even if you paid the money to get such a surgery done in the US, you'd have lifelong complications that far exceed any perceived self confidence boost from an extra few inches. Maybe if you were 5'2 or shorter. But at 5'9 you need to work on your mental health.

Shallow women will reject you for height if they want. Guess what? They'd probably find something else even if you are 6'0+. I'm 5'11 barefoot and always state it to women if asked or on profiles even if I'm over 6'0 while not barefoot. A few women have rejected for not being their desired height range. So what? Consider it a blessing.
