Some useful pointers ive learnt in field and through free yt videos: 1. Cold Reads: such an important gamechanger. Useful if u feel ur asking too many questions and feels like an interview. Instead of asking where shes from, you could guess her ethnicity based on her features, accents, etc.

Teasing and misinterpratation: despite ur instincts the more safe your playing with the conversation the less likely anythings gona happen. Dont be afraid to tease her on her responses, the way shes dressed, etc. (obviously in a joking way with a cheeky smile)
Storytelling: Avoid open and shut responses. Women respond more to emotions as compared to dudes who have a more logical train of thought. Try expressing about ur feelings more in convos.
Body Language: to me the most important and underslept aspect in verbal game. You can say all the right things in the world. But if everything from ur posture, tone of voice, eye contact is off nothings gona work. On the flipside ive said some outta pocket shit in the past but with the right body language you can get away with pretty much anything.

If you run out of things to say: jump to one of three general questions that makes you get to know them better. They are:

What do you do for a living?
Are you from this city or did you grow up somewhere else?
What do you like to do in your spare time?

Each of these questions can lead to 1 hour conversations. About their career, about their life journey, and about activities they enjoy.

You riff off their answer and double down on the topic. Always move forwards based on their response. For example:

"What do you do for a living?"

They respond "i work as a doctor"

You: "oh cool, what kind of doctor?"

Them: "oncology"

You: oh that's a field with a lot of change in it. I recently read "the emperor of all maladies. Have you read it? No? It's about the history and progression of our treatment of cancer. Super amazing because bla bla bla bla.

Be like that annoying grandma who can't shut up. yap yap yap. You gotta pull this shit out of your ass. The best way to get better at it is to:

Learn new shit about the world all the time so you can talk about almost ANY topic at a decently intelligent level for at least 30 minutes non-stop.
Get good at asking questions when you don't know shit about a topic. Try to learn from them. They talk about planes and you know nothing about planes? Well this is your time to learn!! Ask them 100 stupid questions like that annoying kid in class. "What makes planes fly? How much do they weight? Why are you interested in planes? What's your favorite plane and why? Etc. Etc. Suddenly they begin talking about liking this plane because it is quiet. Ok now you can use that info to have another 30 minute conversation about sound and quiet spaces or noise cancellation. Then they mention something else like a brand of headphones. Then you can talk about that for another 5 minutes. And so on. Learn to LISTEN!!! Any word can be a new topic of conversation. That's how you make it flow.

Did you know that Flow is this state that athletes reach where they feel perfectly "in the zone" perfectly relaxed yet focused and capable. Everything just "flows"?

See how I did that? You can practice to improvise this stuff home alone. But better to practice with real people.

Try learning some games that you can implement in conversations. I remember Mystery and Style used to use The Cube game and 5 Questions game as an easy way to get the girl engaged and keep things fun for her.

Also just hanging out with more people and getting more experiences / trying new things allows you to make more connections and talk about more interesting things. Storytelling is a great way to subtly show high value and make her more interested.

Also using open statements or trying to expand on questions/answers rather than going into the default job interview style talking keeps things more interesting for the girl.

Mentioning a false (or real) time constraint at the start is a great way to avoid tension/awkwardness because at any time you can leave and you've already at the start given the reason why (Ex: "Hey, I need to head back to my friends really soon, but [insert opener]")

Be as flirty as possible, playful misinterpreting is really good. I’ll give an example: You ask a girl what her favorite drink is, and even if you like that drink yourself, you say something like “oh you’re that type of girl”. And then whatever she says, you could respond with oh it’s nothing with smirk and if she keeps pleading for an answer you can say something like girls who like tequila are sweet, adorable but have a hint of trouble with them.

Dating app dates were amazing practice for me. Improv classes also did wonders for my ability to get out of my head and keep a convo going. I highly reccomend improv.

Right now, in the beginning, you need routines/scripts/gambits to keep a conversation alive and fill an awkward moment of silence. Later, as you gain experience, you won't need those routines/scripts because you'll create your own.
