Indians have it rough in America.

What I would do first is 1, try to immerse yourself into American culture as much as possible. Music, movies, tv shows. Remember you are not engaging in these things for enjoyment you are studying.

I would work hard on your accent, your attire, and your grooming. Though you may be Indian you don't want to advertise it. For some reason Indian men really struggle with attracting American women.

Once you have these things in place try to formulate a good social group of plutonic men and women. Use them to further your understanding of American culture. Talk to them about maybe setting you up on some dates. Remember to value every social interaction. Sure the girl you are on a date with may not be romantically interested in you but maybe there is a chance you can be her friend and maybe she has a friend that she can introduce you to in the future.

As far as Online dating goes, i would stop. Unfortunately for some reason it is well established thing that Indian men on dating apps are very pushy and give off a vibe that American women do not like. Usually when on a date and the woman and I talk about our experiences with online dating they will give me examples of Indian Men messaging them and creeping them out. This is not your fault it is purely a cultural difference, hence why I suggested to learn more about the culture.

Just do it. That’s how I started. Don’t use that as an excuse. One of Mystery Method’s top PUA instructors is of Indian descent. And one of my good friends from college also Indian & short on top of that, is good with woman too. The problem is not where you come from but your attitude. You need courage, practice and knowledge.

Just don't be weird about it. Be calm and approach like it's a normal thing and be ready for rejection. Don't let it break you, it happens sometimes, don't be scared, it's just approaching someone, not a big deal at all.

Tinder is for exceptionally good looking guys. Anyone who tells you otherwise is talking BS.

On dating apps, you (and me) are at the back of the queue. We need to approach irl and attract a woman with confidence and charm. Even the most unattractive man can win over a pretty girl with these traits.

Go out to a busy bar that is packed with people. Then, practice opening conversations. Talk to lots of people. Have 2-3 canned openers and also try to improvise openers. You just need to practice your opening game. Stay in set for 10 seconds to 5 mins. Focus on having fun, saying your openers, and letting go of the outcome. Don’t get in your head about any negative reactions. Just brush it off and learn to laugh at it all.

Start by small talks with random people. 1 or 2 rounds of back and forth is enough. Then when you are comfortable with starting small talks then move on to deeper topics. But there is a time for diet conversations. Wherever you see someone you know but don't want to wave at them or talk when you pass each other and there is an awkward feeling just smile at them wholeheartedly but don't be a creep. Advice from a fellow Indian

Events, meetups.

Go find a gathering where strangers go to socialize. Approach everyone, both men and women. And both women you like and women you don't.

You live in the USA, you are already at a better place to do this compared to like 1.3 billion other Indians who are stuck in the old world.

It will help to get your fashion and hair on point. I feel like so many Indians (and Asians) in the west are seen as "boring nerds". So try to look as non-nerdy. Or at least like a cool nerd.
