How do you avoid a dinner date if you're trying to meet at night for the first date?

In my opinion dinner puts a lot of pressure on things, especially if this is the first time meeting her in person, and especially if you met on tinder.

If you read Models, you know about investment. Planning a dinner date with someone is a lot of investment...and this is a person you dont know if you will have any chemistry at all with.

If you live downtown, pick a trendy bar to have a drink at around 830. Snacks or appetizers are fine. If you dont drink or wanna be more creative, go on a hike or something free and active.

Keep it short and simple. Low investment. Then if you like her you can go big on the second date.

It occurred to be there are quite a few things that I can do since we live near downtown

There is nothing wrong with dinner as long as you pick a place that is casual and fun. There is a tapas place near me that has delicious sangria and small tables, so you are close and personal and kino is very easy.

Since you live downtown maybe a small casual dinner and a walk around to a park could work well. You can also always do coffee or something like that. Dinners are only awkward if you fail to keep the conversation interesting and fun.

I have a first date Friday night with a girl I met on Tinder. Got her number and we've been texting a bit this week. I'm taking her bowling. My take on it is that it will be a fun activity, allow us to talk, and I can check out her ass when she goes up to bowl lol. Seriously though, I think bowling is not a bad date idea at all. Will let you know how it goes if I remember to come back to this post.

We suggest avoiding dinner dates as a first date because you don't really know how well you will get along with her. So, why waste 90 minutes and money on a girl that it turned out you had no chemistry with? Try meeting for a drink (or 2) on Happy hour, since it will be inexpensive, and if you are really getting along, then orders apps or tapas, or bounce her for dinner. Bouncing is a great tool for getting women to feel comfortable with you anyway.

Personally, since I have a (multi ethnic) food identity, its been easy for me to (beak this rule and) take a women to the best taco place around (or some such) since it can be quick and inexpensive, and show that you know food....and you can still bounce for drinks or dessert.

I'm a firm dinner date supporter. no reason not to do it if you're smooth enough to keep conversation going. I don't use tinger though and you pretty much have to meet a girl first to know it's not going to be a borefest. any date is crap if you run out of things to say to eachother, not just dinners.

You can't Kino when you're sitting across from her! I even tell them its against my rules to eat dinner on the first few dates.

Go to a bar and drink, get loose, get her to relax, and escalate.
