Instagram is a huge hit or miss for some guys nowadays.

If you have a decent profile with high-quality photos of yourself & your lifestyle, then it can be used to your advantage.

But if you barely have any followers & no interesting photos of your lifestyle or yourself, then your success rate goes down a lot.

So work on bringing that up first, unless you’re just using IG to message a girl who you’ve already met before.

Even if you have a good profile, most girls are only on there for attention & to promote themselves as aspiring influencers. They’ll usually ignore your likes & DMs but will occasionally reply, just enough to continually string you along as a simp or back-up option.

Some of you would be surprised if you saw how many girls that are already taken, will flirt back & forth with dozens of different guys & do this. There’s a vanish mode feature where you can have a chat log automatically disappear lol.

Anyways, if you’re having great momentum in the DMs with a girl, then definitely ask her out after a couple of messages. It’s the same logic as for dating apps.

But similar to dating apps, I wouldn’t take it that seriously. This isn’t the Instagram of 2014. It’s more of a marketing center now than it has ever been before. If you have high expectations for it then you’ll be disappointed.

"I'm at x venue, come over to grab a drink/coffee/whatever"
"You're totally hot. You can hang out with me"

Those are just some examples. DON'T use those. They are meant for you to understand the attitude/frame/behavioral pattern that works.

You want to come out as cocky, funny and mysterious. You don't want to be boring, predictable and come out as "nice/pleasant aka phony".

Think back on when you hang out with your male friends. Same attitude.

Personally I hate small talk. Girls love funny guys so if you asked me “what did u do last weekend” I would probably just never reply

If she is on a dating app it usually means she is willing to be in a relationship. Obviously on instagram not all girls are looking for that, so they will be less receptive to a greeting, especially if it's something along the lines of how are you doing?

What works for me on instagram is, reply to her stories. A relevant response to what she uploaded, whatever, but not something along the lines of how was your weekend? Because she doesn't know you, her situations/problems that happened to her are probably too personal to tell you about.

It also works to upload stories, pics of you. If she reacts with a heart to the story, she probably wants you to talk to her, so she would be much more receptive to whatever you send her, a message like how you are doing? It could work

You have to have a good profile for any of them to work tho.

I used to do this all the time from their Tinder profiles when I was living on a Greek touristic island. Especially those who put their instagram profile on Tinder you could skip the line of matching and try your luck there and that was my standard text I copy pasted that shit to every inbox only changing their name, I was lazy hahaha. "hey XXX I thought you are cute and didn't want to wait till we match" Or "hey XXX I saw your profile on Tinder and I thought I'll skip the line and message you here instead" These are just two examples of what direction I was going. It makes you seem confident enough to imply you would match in the future anyway. Be careful thought most of them who put it in their bio are looking for followers and attention so don't make the mistake of following and simping before getting a conversation going.

I would also look up the stories from specific locations or clubs where the girls hangout and simply cold message them. Success rate from around 20 messages you get one reply so don't expect much.

I've been experimenting a lot on Instagram lately. One of my experiments almost made some of my audio clips go viral, but I was able to get the girl back around and stop any issues. I've found that the best way to connect with girls on IG is to start the conversation by saying how you found her profile and why you think it'd be a good idea to start chatting but skipping the "how I found your profile" part works too.

In a similar situation. What if you talk a lot like 2 weeks straight and then the moment you drop the first compliment she’s sweet about it and later ignores you for a day and resumes watching your stories? What then is that a sign to let it go ? Or is there a tactic to keep the fire going? Do I ghost her too?

It all depends on if you follow her and then she decides to follow you back.

If that doesn’t happen, then you’re wasting your time

If you already sort of knew them, it could work. E.g following from an event you met them at or met them somewhere else, then followed. Randomly messaging a stranger? Good luck.
