Well there's a lot of ways. I used to do the bear hug all the time- wrap your arms all the way around them at the midsection, squeeze and lift. Spin around if you want. [This is hard with heavier girls or if you're weak- I've looked like an idiot a few times when I couldn't lift em more than an inch.]

Or you put your hands on her hamstrings, squeeze and lift so she wraps her legs around you and her arms around your neck. Like how you'd hold a kid. Great for sex and makeouts.

Or you do the classic- swoop one arm at the back of her legs (basically tripping her at the knees) while the other arm goes around her back (so she doesn't fall to the ground) and hold her like a baby. Great for when you want to go somewhere without a fuss from her.

Or you can bend down, wrap both arms right under her ass/hamstring area, and throw her over your shoulder like a knapsack or whatever. Also great for carrying her somewhere.

Obviously piggyback rides are good too. Either with her resting on your shoulders, or on your back so you're holding her legs in front to keep her from dropping.

Just for fun, when you're lying down with her on top, you can bench press her and try to balance her body with your hands on her waist or whatever.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but as a big guy this is a pretty significant part of my game. My favorite context is when they're getting real sassy. I just walk over and hoist them into the air, then set them down, give them a "So what now?" look, and walk away. I also like to toss girls in the air at concerts, etc. Usually girls standing nearby will come over and ask me to do that to them.

I just grab under the armpits, usually. It's the most secure spot. Grab, pull her up close, delay for just a fraction of a second while you've got her pulled right up against you, then hoist.

Doing overhead presses, clean and presses, or pushups with your feet elevated will make this easier.

It's a very good question, one that I've never had to think about before.

Picking up a girl in the most comfortable way is to put one arm around her beneath her legs and to lift her up underneath her butt. This is the least painful for a girl and also gets her quite high in the air which is a lot of fun. This method also allows you to maintain a good amount of control and grip while she's up there, and gets her close enough that you can still look at her.

Disclaimer: I'm 6'4" and fairly athletic, styles may vary depending on length and body strength.
