it's a really interesting perspective, but again, it's only one side of the coin. i'm sure both sexes are similarly guilty of not being able to relate to the other side. i just feel like the male perspective is sometimes brushed to the side, as it's usually older men that are responsible for traumatising young girls. but we all get the blame for it, and there's nothing worse than being made to feel like a creep because of someone else's trust issues. not to oversimplify it, but you basically end up with the choice of trying to emulate these romantic comedies, after all the guys are not creepy in those, accepting that you're going to be a jerk sometimes, or just not approaching at all. None of those is ideal, but two of them basically make it impossible to meet new girls... constantly trying to be the nice guy is incredibly stressful. in addition, it's less socially acceptable to be conflicted as a guy; after all being alpha is one of the biggest objectives for men. we're expected to be comfortable, but aware; be leaders, but not aggressors. it's a thin line. idk. i definitely wouldn't want to try to speak for the entire male population. not saying it's harder for us or anything, but it's not the easiest thing to fall into the 'oppressive' sex by default either.

I think there's something that OP isn't telling us, like how most 'nice guys' tend to pretend to be asexual until they get no sex and make outbursts like this

don't get me wrong, sometimes young women can react oddly to polite smiles and small talk but fuck it they don't have to smile at you if they don't want to, and it doesn't make them a bitch (hate the term bitch shield) but you shouldn't let it get to your head. plus I bet there are some guys that treat him like shit but he doesn't pay them as much mind because they aren't hot females

Know thy enemy. This is a good thing to keep in mind as they brush off my street openers; they might have had five douchey catcalls prior. Girls are in a very different headspace when in public.

So my job is to draw them immediately into a reality both awesome and safe.

There's obviously a negative stigma society has placed on women sleeping around. They will be called a whore while a man who sleeps with tons of different women is instead revered by his peers.

Honesty, jibber jabbering about it won't change that. People have a right to be upset about it but that's just how it is right now. The only way to change that is time. Plain and simple.

I know plenty of extremely gorgeous women who treat men as human beings and not like they're trash. No woman likes to be treated as an object, but the reaction can be classy instead of degrading. Men have feelings as much as women and not all men are perfect. Many men are awkward around beautiful women.

I disagree with sandwich_witch's approach to her completely legitimate problem.

Edit: Maybe some women like to be treated as objects, but hopefully they wouldn't complain when they get what they want.
