You can never be irreplaceable and you cannot control it if your friends leave. You seem to to think that your friends moved, and you believe that's your fault because you weren't charming enough. Maybe, sometimes, usually, it has nothing to do with you. People move and you lose friends for a lot of reasons outside your control. Don't blame yourself for losing friends, it happens to everyone. Just find new ones to replace the old

I used to think about similar things until I realized that it's just about my insecurities of not being able to feel fulfilled without other people. This mindset just leads you to relationships with wrong people and having wrong friends, and holds you back in life. When you learn to live alone, you will start to be surrounded by the right people in time.

Your friends leave, you ask yourself the question why this is terrible, and your answer is is ‘because you need to expand your social circle’. Maybe stop viewing people as tools to get what you want, and start viewing them as intrinsically important relationships. No one likes to be used for someone’s own gain, but most people enjoy authentic attention and interest in one’s life.

This entire formulation of the question screams social engineering to me, and borderline sociopathic shit even. In short, try to be a better person and people will be more inclined to stick around.

Yeah I struggle providing value for people. It’s hard. It comes with understanding your strengths, what do you provide? Are you an entertainer? Are you someone who can make people relax? Do you provide solutions? It comes with understanding WHY people would want to spend time with you. Part of the solution is being comfortable with who you are and what your interests are. You can’t force people to like you so the you that you are is the you that will provide value. If people don’t like it, that’s only a matter of incompatibility.

Everyone is disposable, and we all die in the end. Maybe you need a different mindset. Maybe you should be asking how to find people who appreciate you now, you appreciate qualities they have, and surround yourself with them, not worrying about whether it will stay that way forever. Toxic people try to make themselves irreplaceable out of their insecurity, and that's the foundation for emotionally abusive relationships. Then when you finally do make yourself irreplaceable through a codependency, one day you might find out that the people around you aren't there for you willingly.

Reliability is something that I would say makes a good connection. I feel that everyone wants a reliable person around them. If you need something, there is a higher chance that this person can give it to you. It takes skill to make good connections and not only that. Be who you are and give yourself to others, not only that cutie you find attractive, but your family, your brothers, and society. People often do not forget the actions of others that better their lives. Live to give, that is my take.

I know a few people who everyone loves and here’s what makes them, them.

Helping others. Like one of my friends is completely indispensable to everyone because he has a newer car and is always offering to pick people up and drive them around for gas money. They feel like they need to reciprocate and also like they can count on him.

Being unavoidable. Sounds douchey but you have to maintain relationships with people you can’t avoid. Working with someone or playing a sport with them means you have to maintain at least a passing decency. You can’t cut them off easily

Supplying a product or service. Like if you have a friend group where everyone is an actor and one person is a dance instructor, that person is the completely indispensable friend.

Fulfill an emotional need.

Be an endless try-hard. Okay I’m joking with the terminology but the people I’ve kept in my life even when I really didn’t want to/shouldn’t have were people who gassed me up and acted like I was super special and they were nothing. I knew it was an act but I was flattered that they cared enough about me to fake it at all.

Basically, if people feel important or they need you, they stick around. You never see a rich person with no friends. It’s not because they’re so friendly. It’s because people want money.

The relationship you’ve built should suffice. You don’t have to be able to do everything, just take up space in their mind in a good way. The good memories people associate with others is what makes them stay even during the worst situations

Learn how to listen and ask questions. Have people tell you how they feel and be a mirror to them for their feelings. That will have you bond with people and make deep connections. Take yourself out of the conversation, at least initially, so no thinking what you are going to say while they talk, no advice, no judgement, no relating everything to your own stories and experiences. Make it about them ask them how they felt about things, why they did it, if they would do the same again etc etc . Wait for them to have said everything they wanted to say and in general they will start to wonder about you and ask you about your opinion, life, experiences. Combine this with being fun a bit and you are 💯
