Don't worry about anything. When you talk, speak absolute nonsense about life, the dumber the better, you really can't care about the outcome either way so have fun with it. That helps stay away from the interview style discussions. If the girl likes you, she will laugh when you aren't actually trying to be funny.

My last conversation with a random chick involved me talking about my early morning tacos with plethoras of fire sauce that pair with my coffee to get me mobile and agile. I thought that was one of the lamest things I ever said but she got a laugh out of it. What you do is, you put your arms over her shoulder and draw a TV with your hands, then say "let's pretend this is a TV, what are we watching" and then she'll usually reply something, and then you go "no wtf that show is BORING I was hoping you'd say something romantic! Now I need a beer and a hug to recover"

Real answer, you want to try to lead your questions less on the facts and more about how she feels about the facts. Lets say you ask her what she's studying, instead of asking her what it's about, you can instead ask her why she chose to study that, what's her favorite thing about that field. These examples are basic but it's just to give a general idea. You want to focus less on the facts themselves and focus more on her thoughts and emotions regarding said facts.

Those boring things you talk about are relevant, so you should talk about them at some point. What you want to change is how you talk about these things. Instead of asking where she is from, you can assume that she's from the city you're in. You can ask, "Are you from (whatever city you're in)?" Whatever she says, don't follow it up with another question. Make a statement about what she just said. If she says she's from Chicago, you can tease her by saying, "Oh crap. That means you're a Bears fan, huh?" Say this with a playful tone and a grin on your face.

To continue the conversation, use active listening skills. Listen for the verbs and nouns she says so you have something to pivot off. Make statements and ask questions based on her responses. Switch up the questions with statements so that it doesn't just seem like an interview, and she gets to know your personality and some information about you.

The questions you wrote are basic questions you ask another person because that is how you get to know them, but to make a conversation interesting you need to say interesting things, so you need to have an interesting life or at least create some interesting short stories. For example, she tells you what she studies, now you can tell her you have a friend who is [what she said she studied] and that guy said [insert funny story]...
