So I consider myself a success. I started following this sub 10 years ago after a bad breakup. I followed all the typical advice. Approach. Work out. Work on your career. Improve all aspects of your life. I did it. And it worked. I had all the range of relationships in that period of time. ONS, FWB, long term relationships. I have done all the things people here would consider to be a successful man.

However, I'm unhappy. I thought that by being successful with women would make me happy. I thought being fit and having a good job would make me happy. I was wrong. I am starting to realize I did it for society's/my friends/my family's validation. I am not happy with myself. I'm just not happy in general. I can still go out and pull, have a good time, etc. But it feels empty. I feel like I'm going to be treading water until I die. I started going to therapy last year, which has brought me lots of insight, but hasn't really helped me feel better. I don't know.

This is probably the wrong sub for this question, but I wonder if anyone else has grappled with this.
