So in my town there's this dating event happening soon that is a bit different than speed dating. Basically the host makes some activities that enforce communication and interaction between everyone, first in small groups and then in 1:1 situations. When it starts, you fill a form about your likes and dislikes and in the end you get a match based on some AI that reviews the answers. However, since there's usually more men than women, a match is not guaranteed and it still could be someone you didn't really click with.

The only other time I went I didn't click with my match and instead of trying to get other girls contact, I felt bad for leaving this made up match and didn't want to leave her alone until she left the place, but I want to change that and actually ask someone else for their contact without looking like a jerk. I'd like any advice you could have in order to cause a better impression or how to approach the event. I'm objectively sure I won't be the most physically attractive guy so what would you focus on?
