Never ask a female for her Instagram. If the exchange happens make se she gets her phone out and adds you.

"In General" If you add any woman via instagram all your doing his helping her with her ffollow count she's nevr going to respond to your messages unless your that guy. At most you'll get are double taps to when you react to story that's it.

Never chase a woman or put her on a pedestal, it never works when you chase. She needs to be chasing your attention, your validation, your time.

Probably depends on how impressive your insta is. I usually ask for numbers because I barely touch mine and don't have a lot of followers.

IMO, it’s fucking laughable to meet a gal at the grocery store, the mall, the gas station, …. And ask her for her number so you can go home and call her to ask for a date.

Asking for IG signals in a way that possibly you don't have the balls to ask for her number. Asking for the number is a bit bolder, signals more confidence in my opinion and is a good way to separate you from the thousands of other dudes following her IG account.

For where I live and travel, it's Whatsapp or Snapchat that are the go-to communication tools people use. So number - kinda. Just to get connected on one of those two apps.

Depends entirely on how the interaction goes. If we clicked 100% and she reciprocated interest, definitely get the number but might as well get the IG too. If her interest is medium at best, just get the IG, as she probably needs more convincing. Hopefully you have an appealing page and are active enough on there to increase her interest and get her out on a date with you.

IG- easy to reply to stories and restart convos.

Number is bad if they don’t reply and you have to double text something random vs story-reply with something relevant. If they’re interested take it from IG to number

If your Insta is set-up well, choose Insta. If not, fix it and go for the number in the meantime.

You can still escalate to WhatsApp later

Instagram is lower friction and gives you the opportunity to start Chats easier by responding to stories or chats.

Plus you get to check how good she actually looks sober if you collected the IG in a night setting

Phone number is better but it depends from girl to girl. If you are approaching live I would say go for the instagram and after talking a bit and you set up the date then ask for the phone number.
