Pardon my use of non lingo. I'm still new to this sub.

Hi it's me again, the guy who ruined a date by talking about black pill stuff with a girl.

The setting:

I spent my Sunday reading Models by Mark Manson on my phone at a coffee shop, I noticed this rather cute girl entering with a group of friends and I caught her looking at me twice and I popped a smile when she finally decided to hold eye contact.

I went over to say hi (this is literally the first time I cold approached a girl so bear with me). I reached the chapter of the book where Mark was sharing about how to use guesses when approaching.

The approach:

I opened with, "you don't dress like someone from around here and you clearly like your men well dressed and foreign. Do I remind you of someone back home? (I'm asian and so is she)". She giggled while her friends were covering their mouth in shock. She replied with something along the lines of, if you think you're well dressed, you should see some of the men back home. She's clearly a tourist.

I told her, I'm here to read a book and you're busy with your friends but I would love to get to know you more. May be you can join me at my table after you're done? She replied with a playful "we'll see" and I go back to my reading.

The "hook";

I go back to my table, making sure that my back is against her and continued reading for a few more chapters before I felt a tap on my shoulders. It was her and she came over to sit with me, she introduced herself and told me she was here to visit some friends she hasn't seen in years after graduation. She asked me what I was reading and I told her Models, she asked what it was about and I just told her bluntly it's about learning how to talk to women, to which I added, "I don't know, I guess it's working?" She giggled and sat down next to me. We had a few small talks with some light flirting. I let her do most of the talking while finding a way to slip in one of my crazy adventures when I was younger (yes, I was an adventurous incel who had fun with the bros but was always too creepy for the girls). She giggled and said there's no way that happened. I had a YouTube video of that adventure saved and since I was a lot fatter in the video, she mention how good I looked now.

The close:

I then tried to bring her to a nearby bar just across the street by telling her that the video is a really old adventure. How about you and I go across the street and may be you and I could have our own little adventure tonight? She agreed and we talked some more and had light drinks (I learned my lesson that I couldn't drink as much as I used to when I was overweight, hence the fuck up from my previous post) until it started raining. I told her that I'm not feeling the adventure right now. How about we ditch this place and go look for ice cream in the rain? She somehow said yes to this and we didn't find ice cream unfortunately but we were extremely drenched. I drove her back to her hotel room, she asked if I wanted to come up to dry myself for a while. I parked my car and went up to her room.

Lessons I have learned:

As this is my first time cold approaching someone, I was extremely nervous. However my mindset when I placed the ball on her court was that I was really engrossed in my book and I really just wanted to go through the chapters. I also learned that you should probably test out how much you're able to drink after losing so much weight before scheduling a drink with someone at a bar and finally, to be fun and spontaneous. No one, especially a random girl you just met wants to hear your mopey shit.

You might be a victim, I was too, with so many mental baggage. However this adventure I have experienced, has taught me to have fun and have a "what if it's a gift" mindset, in my case, I posted on Reddit on how a previous fucked up relationship made me talk about black pill with another girl I liked, getting introduced to a book and reading it at a cafe and doing my first cold approach. Hence, my previous fuck up has lead me here.

For those of you who read my previous post:

I am extremely excited for my therapy session and I hope that whatever deep wounds I have can be healed. What I am doing now through activities and weekend volunteering feels like I'm simply applying a band aid and I would love to finally heal.
