Anyway I made my moved and kissed her. We made out for a little and then I just pulled away and said “it was nice meeting you”. She yelled for me to text her when I get back.

Does this sound like a failed first date to you? Just gotta keep going with the flow and remember to text her! She's definitely into you but wants to take it slower than sex on the first date

Okay well at age 26 EVERYONE knows what you mean when you are invited over to the other persons house. Considering this was your first date, I’d say you moved waaay too fast with that one. The kiss was fine, but asking her to your house is a bit much on a first date. UNLESS all you want from her is sex. If that’s the only thing you want then you can continue to try your advances but they probably won’t work (unless of course that’s all she’s interested in). But if you are actually interested in this girl you really gotta chill with the “Netflix and chill” vibes or else your scare her away by moving to fast for sex. The best relationships usually start off slow. But also when she called u a bad influence, she was really telling you that she has morals and responsibilities and didn’t want too much to happen that night. That includes getting too drunk to go to work the next day and having sex.. In my opinion, she isn’t looking for a quick fuck. She’s looking for a real relationship. BUUUT the fact that she told u to text her later means she liked you and would like to see you again… (probably not for sex tho.. just saying lol)

That sounds like it went pretty well, especially if it's your first ever date. Don't rush the process of getting better at dates. Also, bringing her back to your place on the first night is not the hallmark of a good date and even your best game won't be guaranteed to make that happen depending on the girl and the situation of the night. Just enjoy the process, and let yourself grow into getting better at having fun nights out. If you like her, text her and follow-up for the second date. Second date is way easier with the comfort you established on the first date for whatever direction you're trying to move in.

I think you did fine. I would recommend not waiting till the end of a date for a kiss if you are feeling the vibe earlier. You don’t have to full on make out with someone at a bar but a kiss at some point through the date is a good way to build some yearning and tension for more later. And I’d almost never ask someone home before I’ve kissed them and I know they are into it.

After a couple hours I suggested another bar but she said she had work in the morning.

So I don't tend to run first dates that long, I keep to about 90 minutes tops. Otherwise good, I always do drinks for a first date.

She said she didn’t want to drive back so I mentioned she could come back to mine for drink, which she declined.

When that happens, no worries. Women aren't stupid they know what that means. As long as you don't react badly there, it's not going to hurt you.

In fact the last girl that came home with me, initially declined. She then texted me before I got to the first red light something like "that offer for a drink still good?".

So I don't kiss a woman, unless I'm reasonable sure we're going to have sex. Kissing is sexual escalation in my view.

I'm not sure if it's just a weird anecdote, but women I've kissed on a date and DIDN'T end up sleeping with, I didn't end up sleeping with ever (or seeing them again typically).

All in all sounds like you did pretty well. There's much worse first date stories out there. Now you just need to meet up with her again.
