Most of the younger people in here will never get it, and they'll keep sweating bullets over what to text women.

Limit texting and stop being pressed over responding right away, especially if you just met the girl. Your attention and time is valuable. The less you give them up front, the better.

It's ok, we all get burned before we learn. I know it's very tempting to want to talk to a girl showing high interest like that.

Always stick to logistics with texting. I swear, it can be even ONE kinda needy text to blow the whole thing out of the water. Or one misinterpreted comment or joke which is why I recommend never to try to be funny over text. You might be good 99 out of 100 times but eventually you will say something stupid and then she has to cancel the date all of a sudden.

The way to remedy this is to always set dates if she reaches out. This way she will unconsciously understand that when she texts you it is because she wants to see you and she knows you will set a date. The only exceptions are if she texts you immediately after a date or the next day, then it's a little too soon to set up the next date.

Also try to only respond to texts twice a day so she'll know you'll respond around 1pm or 8pm for example. It takes self control but I hate hearing people losing a girl over something like texting but it happens every day

I have ended a relationship because of this, that girl kept bugging me on texts. I'm a busy man, I need to focus when I'm working. I can't keep responding to her texts. So I just tell her to meet up later in the evening and tell me whatever then.

It's simple, she can meet up when I'm free or ease her boredom/vent her issues to her BFF or some other guy.

I don't count the messages or whatever, but with the above I guess I don't need to. It's always mostly "yes" "no", "Let's meet up at x" or "I'll pick you up at x" or something like that.

That's why you should be congruent with your own style of interaction and don't let the girl control the situation too much. Many girl's behaviours are driven by instincts or social mind, and your role is to conquer them. Otherwise, your dynamics will become emotionally flat and asexual.
