One of the biggest problems that guys face when starting to learn pickup is dealing with their oneitis. Let's face it, if we weren't hung up on that ONE girl, and if we weren't so dead set on getting HER, very few of us would have come here to learn and improve ourselves.

But at the core of it, what is oneitis? Why is it that we are so hung up on a single person, and how does it manifest itself in our daily lives externally (because we all know you're thinking about her 24/7).

Oneitis is an inability to say the word "No." It represents a lack of emotional control on your part. You've lost the power to say no, and whenever you see that person, you externally reflect that internal mentality, and they can pick up on that. They realize that you have lost control of yourself around them, and that you are unable to say "No."

You need to gain back control over yourself. So when you see that girl, and any girl you may like, always think to yourself, "I CAN say NO to you, and I WILL if you give me a reason to." Internalize that statement, and never falter from it.

You may not have seen the girl you lost your virginity to in years who treated you like shit, who you always took back, who you always would say "yes" to, and when you see her you may want so badly to say "YES" emphatically again. Don't. Say "No."

Don't give anyone else power over you by being unable to say the word "No." Respect is given to those who have control over their own lives, and everyone (man and woman) wants a SO worthy of respect, someone that will challenge them, someone that they feel they need to work for to keep. Don't let anyone rob you of your ability to say "NO."
