As soon as you realise that nobody is watching you, you are free. Nobody is watching you talk to that girl on the bus. Nobody cares that you are nervous. Nobody even notices that you are going through every possible scenario in your head. Everybody is too focused on what is going on in their own heads to care at all about what is going on in yours.

I don't mean that nobody cares about you at all. Obviously you have friends and family who care about you. I'm referring to the random strangers that we worry about every day when facing uncomfortable situations. Realise that it is vain to believe that everyone around you is watching you at any given moment. They aren't. Even if they were, who cares what some guy over there thinks? Are you really going to let the opinion of some random person you'll never see again stop you from approaching that cute girl? That random person you'll never see again has a million things on his mind and unless you're confronting him directly you probably aren't on his radar at all!

We as humans are constantly thinking about ourselves and putting ourselves at the center of situations, even subconsciously. We struggle with being in a crowded mall and wondering if everyone notices that our hands are a little sweaty. As soon as we grasp the reality that everyone is generally too focused on themselves to even notice that you exist, we are free. Again, I'm not saying that nobody at all cares about you. I'm referring to strangers. Nobody in the crowded mall is going to notice that your hands are sweating unless they are literally dripping puddles on the floor. Take this freedom and use it to conquer your world. Act as if you are walking through a matrix and the only people that exist in this moment are you and that girl you are approaching. Trip over yourself? You're the only person who cares about it. Hands sweating? Nobody knows. Do what you need to do. Even when you're surrounded by strangers, act as though you are the only person there and you will find freedom.

EDIT: I typed this up while barely awake so thanks for the positive feedback and extra points everybody! The major point I left out is the fact that yes, people can see and some people will notice, but ultimately they'll forget in moments. The core message rings true; stop worrying about what other people are thinking and you can make the mistakes necessary to grow!
