I don’t know how many people would actually relate to this situation, or maybe it’s just that I’m weird, but here goes.

I got out of a relationship about a year ago. It was my first serious relationship, and lasted over a year. The breakup was very difficult, and I put a lot of my anger and sadness into working out, which I have done in the past, but never to this extreme.

I have always been a heavier guy, but fast forward to today, I weigh almost as much as I did in high school, with more muscle and a six pack to boot. This was due to a combination of workout and complete isolation from drinking or any social scene while I worked on myself.

Recently, I began to re-enter the social scene and night life. In the past I would always hang around friends until I worked up the courage to approach someone and I would. But lately things have gone a little differently. Here comes the weird part:

Girls are approaching me more than I am approaching them. I get pulled into groups, I have been slapped on the ass, and other forms of interaction that are not my doing. I understand that some guys would feel empowered or happy by this, but it throws me off and is a new world I don’t know how to respond to. Often times I just make a fool of myself and then my confidence for the night is shot.

Again I get this is weird, but I was wondering if anyone had any feedback?
